Ameliorate adds a dozen blocks ranging from decorative to utility, the biggest family of which are the compressed block versions of items, serving to remedy inventory clutter and add new decorative possibilities. Some blocks possess special qualities that depend on the material they are made from. In total, 69 blocks have been added in 0.0.1.

Nature

1. Fodder: Sheep eat it much like grass but without turning it into dirt, allowing for indoor farms. Fodder is traded by journeyman Farmer Villagers.

Mob Tweaks

The list of vanilla mobs by category that were changed, applying appropriate behavior, compatibility, and quality of life changes to their AI.

 

Major Changes

1. Horses: Tamed and saddled horses (including donkeys and mules) now stay in place when unridden; mules can be equipped with armor and chests; collision box reduced to 1.0 for easier navigation through tight spaces when ridden.

2. Villagers: Use new paths; certain jobs grant new abilities (e.g., clerics drink milk for negative effects, heal, and turn invisible in danger).

3. Illagers: Can now swim, open doors, avoid hazards (cactus, magma), alert other illagers, and detect threats within 32 blocks.

4. Wandering Trader: Trades include new blocks; reduced walk speed, increased mob fear detection; drinks milk for negative effects, and avoids farmland.

 

Minor Changes

1. Llama: Drops mutton, no longer spits at wolves/llamas; Trader Llama: Fears undead and illagers.

2. Camel: Tamed and saddled camels stay in place when unridden (like horses).

3. Sniffer: Can be mounted, eats added torchflower seeds.

4. Parrot, Chicken: Can be tempted with new seed blocks.

5. Enderman: Avoids open eyeblossoms in a 16-block range.

6. Spiders/Cave Spiders: Hunt silverfish; Silverfish: Fears spiders/cave spiders.

7. Cat/Ocelot: Can be tempted with a block of string.

8. Piglin: Gathers added bag of golden apples and carrots.

9. Witch: Drinks milk for negative effects, flees Iron Golems.

10. Iron Golem: Takes half damage from projectiles, can exit water when sunk, walks on new paths.

11. Snow Golem: Increased defense against projectile damage, now immune to poison.

 


 

Recipes

Several changes were made to vanilla recipes to make crafting certain items more efficient and less expensive. In addition, alternative and new crafting recipes have been added.

1. Rabbit Hide can be used in items that require leather

2. Glowberries can be used to craft torches, yielding nine torches

6. Cake can be crafted with a sweetberry

7. Red mushroom can be used to craft a fermented spider

8. Saplings can be used to craft a stick

9. Candles can be used to craft a Jack O' Lantern and Pumpkins can be used to craft a Jack O' Lantern

Reduced ingredients:

1. Banner - two wool instead of six

2. Sign - one plank instead of six

3. Hanging Sign - one stripped log and chain instead of six stripped logs and two chains

4. Painting - four sticks instead of eight

5. Item Frame - four leather instead of eight

6. Lodestone - four chiseled stone brick instead of eight

7. Recovery Compass - four echo shards instead of eight

 

Recipe output:

1. Door - two instead of three

2. Trapdoor - four instead of three

1. Deepslate & Blackstone - can craft dispenser, dropper, lever, observer, and piston.

2. Coral - can be crafted into their respective block versions, both coral and coral fan can be turned into dye.

3. Wool - wool of any color can be crafted into other colors.

4. Gunpowder - netherwart and coal or charcoal

5. Coal & Charcoal - can craft black dye

6. Four Chests - eight logs

7. Three Leather - saddle

8. Four String - wool

9. Cobweb - two strings and two slimeballs

10. Tuff - two andesite and two basalt

11. Sugar - four sweet berries

 

Block output:

1. Clay Block - can craft four clay

2. Glowstone Block - can craft four glowstone dust

3. Honeycomb Block - can craft four honeycomb

4. Mangrove Root - can craft four sticks

Interactions

New interactions have been added for easier terraforming and immersion. From easier pathmaking to block-projectile reactions.

1. Grass Paths can be turned into dirt by using a shovel, the same goes for the new paths added, just with their block counterpart.

2. Farmland can be reverted into dirt using a hoe or dirt.

3. Crimson Nylium, warped nylium, and their paths can be turned into netherrack using a hoe.

4. Using a water bottle, splash water bottle, or lingering water bottle on dry farmland will transform it into wet farmland.

5. Campfires can be extinguished with a thrown snowball or wind charge.

6. Gravel has a chance to turn into sand when struck by a wind charge (0.3 chance).
