All Eyes On Me — Feature Guide (Bedrock Edition)
A psychological-horror addon built around Iris, a rare, mostly-silent stalker who watches you back.
Iris — the entity

Appearance & animation
• A dark humanoid figure with a eye.
• Only its head moves, to look at nearby players the body stays rigid and static. No walk cycle, no idle sway. It just... turns to look at you.
• Fire immune. 50 health.
Spawning
• Extremely rare by design: only a 1-in-15 chance on any spawn attempt, capped at 1 alive per area, and only 1 can exist anywhere in the world at a time (overworld or nether).
• After one spawns, there's a hard 2-minute cooldown before another can appear anywhere.
• Won't appear at all during the world's first full day/night cycle the first 24,000 game ticks so the world has time to feel normal before Iris shows up.
• Plays a distinct spawn sound (a modified banjo note) to the nearest player the moment it successfully appears.
• Has its own spawn egg (custom icon) for testing/creative use it still obeys all the same rarity/cooldown rules even from an egg.
The core "watching" mechanic
• If a player is within 40 blocks, has Iris roughly centered in their view, and has a clear, unobstructed line of sight Iris is "seen" and freezes completely, like a weeping angel / SCP-173.
• The moment nobody has a clean line of sight on it, it creeps toward the nearest player in short teleporting bursts (covering ~18% of the remaining distance each step), stopping about 2 blocks away. It won't bother chasing anyone farther than 48 blocks away.
Despawning
• Normally only despawns when a player gets within 8 blocks of it and it's taken damage otherwise it lingers.
• If a nearby player (within 10 blocks) is holding a poppy, despawning is disabled entirely until they stop holding one or leave.
• Whenever it does despawn (for any reason), it releases a burst of black smoke particles and plays a despawn sound.
Talking
• Every 13–25 minutes, it may say something unprompted in chat: "Can you see me?", "Look over here.", "You look nice today...", "did you find it..?", "Can you draw me..? Or have you already...", "life feels miserable right..?"
Join messages
• The very first time you ever join the world, the mod gives you a Sketch item.
• Every join after that, it says "<Iris> your back, where have you been" — and every join (including the first) shows "Iris joined the game with you."
Items
The Sketch is Given automatically on your first-ever join. Right-click it to get a lore dump from <paper tutorial> explaining Iris's backstory. Craftable from paper + black dye. Cross Right-click to banish Iris disables its spawning and gift-giving until undone, and plays a banished sound. Crafted from an ender eye, iron ingots, string, and a diamond.
Bouquet of Flowers Right-click to undo the cross re-enables Iris. and plays a fulfilled sound. Crafted from poppies, a totem of undying, and string.
Camera Right-click while actually looking at Iris (within 24 blocks, roughly centered, clear sightline) to take its photo. Needs at least one paper anywhere in your inventory consumes it whether or not the shot works. No paper = nothing happens except a private "needs paper" message. Crafted from a stone button, iron ingots, a glass pane, and redstone.
Portrait The photo you get from a successful camera shot. A one-off keepsake item (doesn't stack).
World generation
• A Woody Camp structure generates naturally in the world, with a lootable chest containing survival supplies (flint, sticks, feathers, grass, arrows, iron, cobwebs, bones, food, a lead, flint & steel, a name tag, a map) remnants of where iris's creator used to live/camp
Sounds in the pack
• being fulfilled (bouquet), being banished (cross), despawning, and taking a camera photo.
• A re-skinned Music Disc 13 with different audio.
Known placeholders / things still to finish
• The hit sound variants exist in the files but aren't currently wired to trigger automatically when Iris takes damage — worth deciding if/how that should fire.
