Bedrock Advanced Death Pack

You died. Your stuff is fine.

No more sprinting back to a lava pit hoping the despawn timer was kind. When you die, everything you were carrying — every item, every level of XP — goes into a tombstone standing exactly where you fell. It doesn't scatter. It doesn't burn. It doesn't blow up. Creepers can't touch it.

What it does

Everything goes in the tombstone. Your full inventory and your XP, stored safely in a block at your death spot. Nothing drops on the ground, so nothing lands in lava, floats away down a river, or quietly despawns while you're running back.

Take what you want, when you want. Interact with the tombstone to open a menu listing everything inside. Grab a single stack, or hit Take All and carry on. The tombstone disappears once it's empty.

Or just break it. Mining the tombstone drops everything at once and hands your XP straight back.

A compass that actually points home. The death compass tracks your most recent tombstone with a live distance readout. Died in the Nether and respawned in the Overworld? It tells you which dimension to head for.

Your armor goes back on. Recovered armor is equipped to your body automatically instead of clogging your hotbar.

Explosion-proof. The tombstone survives creepers, TNT, and ghast fireballs. It also glows faintly, so you can spot it at night.

Piston-proof, command-proof. Push it with a piston, /setblock over it, /clone it across the world — your items follow the tombstone. The pack tracks tombstones by identity, not by coordinates.

Make it yours

Operators run /tombstone:tombstoneconfig in-game to open a settings menu. Every option is saved per-world.

Running a hardcore server? Turn on the 50% XP tax and a 10-minute timer, and death still stings — it just stops being a scavenger hunt. Playing casually? Set XP loss to Keep everything and lifetime to Forever.

Installing

1. Download the .mcaddon and open it — Minecraft imports both packs for you.
2. In your world settings, enable both the Behavior Pack and the Resource Pack.
3. Play.

Requires Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.10 or newer. No experimental toggles required.

One note: the pack turns on keepInventory for the world. That's deliberate — it's what stops vanilla from scattering your items before the tombstone can claim them. Death still costs you XP according to your settings; the tombstone just handles your gear instead of the ground.
