Advanced Custom Knockback

Adjust and upgrade your vanilla knockback easily by one command!

Have you ever wanted having famous servers' knockback in your worlds? With this addon, you can easily modify the knockback to be the one you want.

Some notes that I want to clear out before you have any questions the same as these:

  • Which version does the addon support? -> Minimum 1.26.10.
  • Does it support multiplayer? -> Yes, you can play with your friends.
  • Do I need to enable any Experiments? -> No, you only need to enable the addon itself.
  • Are Mace and Spears supported? -> Yes, I will talk about them later in the end of the text.

Here is an example first, so you can see the addon itself:

Once you are in the world, open chat and type this command:

/config

This will open the form that you can adjust the knockback value for 2 types: Player and Non-Player (Mob).

  • Horizontal KB: Controls how far players/mobs are pushed once receiving hits,
  • Vertical KB: Determines the height players/mobs are lifted when be hit,
  • KB Delay: The delay between 2 hits, you can set it in decimals, not just positive integers,
  • No Damage Toggle: Make every hits deal no damage (Not applicable to Bow and Arrows, Mace and Spears mechanics)

Once you have the right config, click Submit button to save the new knockback value.

To note that: 

  • This addon was made by disabling the vanilla knockback and hit register completely (But not for mace and spears, since this mechanics was hard to replicate, so i left them untouched),
  • The projectiles will have no cooldown between hits, so you can send the entity flying high.
  • The addon also rewrites how damage was calculated. It includes enchantments (Sharpness and Protection only), and potion of Strength only at the moment. So if the damage is unfair, please leave a comment so I can fix that,
  • While the toggle "No Damage" was called like so, entities can still deal damage with Bow and Arrows, Mace and Spears, since these types of weapon I didn't make them deal the addon's knockback (Arrows still have the no delay hit timing)
  • Also removes the bug that sprinting while spamming will push the entity really far.
