Admin Tools 2.3 Beta [v2.2.2]
What's new
Changelog 2.3.0 beta (v2.2.2)
New
- AdminTools now speaks your language! (BETA) Every menu, button, and message in the addon has been translated Supported languages: English, Spanish (Spain & Latin America), French (France & Canada), Indonesian, Portuguese (Brazil & Portugal), and Chinese (Simplified & Traditional). There's nothing to set up, the addon follows each player's game language, so a Spanish player and an English player on the same server each see the menus in their own language. Every other language shows English, same as before. (A few things, like the rank tags above players' heads, stay in English for technical reasons.) More languages will be coming in later updates.
These translations were done with a combination of machine tools. I did my best to ensure the translations make sense, but I do not speak these lanuages myself. If something is wrongly translated please reach out! - Take control of your Action Log. The new Log Settings page (Action Log → Log Settings) lets you choose what gets recorded — turn off the chatty stuff like PvP kills, players setting homes, or item alerts — and pick how much log history to keep. The important things (bans, kicks, rank changes and other staff actions) are always logged, no matter what. Nothing changes until you flip a switch, and logging is a bit lighter on your world's storage too.
- Give your admins one-tap Command Buttons. As the owner you can now build a shared set of ready-made commands your staff run with a single tap just like the built-in Game Commands. Set one up under Commands → Command Buttons → Manage Buttons (give it a name like "Set day" and a command like
time set day) and it shows up as a button for your team. It's perfect for handing admins a few specific, safe commands without opening up the full Quick Run command box. You decide who gets them: the new "Command Buttons" permission is on for admins by default and off for moderators until you grant it, and only you (the owner) can add, edit, or remove the buttons.
Changed / Improved
- Playtime leaderboards can show hours, hours + minutes, or minutes. The Playtime leaderboard hologram used to round everyone down to whole hours, so a new player who'd been on for 50 minutes sat at "0" next to everyone else under an hour. Playtime is now tracked down to the minute, and a new Show score as time option in the scoreboard hologram editor lets you pick how each row reads —
42h,42h 15m, or2535mwith a live preview as you choose. Set it per leaderboard, and change it any time by editing the hologram. Any Playtime leaderboard you placed before this update keeps working and keeps showing hours, exactly as it did; place a new one to get the finer detail. - Delete an offline player's homes. You could already remove a player's saved homes from their profile while they were online, now you can do the same when they're offline. Open the offline player's profile, choose Homes, and delete any of them: it disappears from the list right away and is removed from the player's own homes the next time they log in. Deleting stays admin-only, just like for online players, moderators can still view and teleport to a home.
- Optional safe zone around gravestones. Turn this on and every gravestone gets a 20-block "safe bubble" that keeps hostile mobs away (the same protection a land claim gives) so a player can return to where they died and gather their items without being swarmed. It's off by default; enable it under Config Editor → Deathback, just below the gravestones switch (it only shows when gravestones are on). It respects your claim mob rules too, so any mob you've whitelisted is still left alone.
- Armor stands now respect claim entity protection. Players without permission can no longer break an armor stand or steal the armor and items displayed on it. The stand and all of its equipment stay intact, while the claim owner and trusted members can still break it normally.
Fixed / Misc.
- Owner-only claims now honor members and protection settings. On an owner-only claim, adding a co-owner or trusted member now actually grants them the access you gave them, and switching a protection off (for example, to let others build) now takes effect. These claims are still fully shielded from admins and moderators, that hasn't changed, they're just no longer locked down to the very people you invite in.
- Server claims no longer count against an admin's personal claim limit. When an admin creates claims for the server, those no longer eat into their own personal claim allowance. So, an admin who has set up several server claims can still make their own personal claims up to the normal limit.
- Gravestones now stay put where you died. Flowing lava (or water) could sweep a gravestone, and all the items inside it, away from the spot where you died, sometimes carrying it off into a pool where you'd never reach it. Graves are now pinned in place, so they stay exactly where they appear until you come back to recover them. You may see the gravestone slide a bit before being moved back to it's original location. This is just to reduce potential lag by not constantly teleporting the gravestone to it's original location.
