Go AFK and the camera takes over: slow cinematic shots of you, nearby animals, villagers, other players and interesting places – like the idle camera in racing games. Client-side, no dependencies.
What's new
- Idle camera. Stop touching mouse and keyboard for 30 seconds (adjustable) and the camera takes over. Any key or mouse movement brings you straight back.
- 18 cinematic shots – slow zooms on a still camera, the Vertigo dolly zoom, a pull-away that keeps backing off into the landscape, close-ups, a gently breathing hand-held frame, orbits, fly-bys, crane shots, bird's eye, over-the-shoulder, a silhouette against the low sun, tracking shots on moving animals, and wide reveals of the view.
- The camera finds what's worth watching: other players, villagers, animals and herds, monsters creeping up, named and baby mobs, you – and places like campfires, lava, beacons, portals, bells, lights at night and machines.
- Soundtrack. Three calm ambient pieces play while the cinema runs and fade out when you return. Vanilla music pauses meanwhile. Uses the Music slider, can be turned off.
- Cinema look: letterbox bars, HUD and chat hidden, your character visible.
- F8 starts or stops the cinema at any time (rebindable) – nice for screenshots.
- Fully configurable in
config/absoluteafkcinema-client.json: idle time, shot length, cuts or fades, letterbox, zoom, camera distance, what gets filmed and how often, music. - English and German.
