The Ranger uses 2 RAPIER engines to help it get up to space and uses 8 Mono-propellant engines to help it gain vertical ascent during takeoff (I cannot guarantee a complete orbit with this ship on Kerbin but with other planets or moons such as Duna, Laythe etc, it can push to orbit)
