Love and Consequences adds more ways for your Zois to work through relationship problems, decide whether to stay together, and deal with life after a breakup.

It currently includes 20 + new interactions and 50 + moodlets/buffs.

HOW TO START

Click your Zoi's current romantic partner and choose "Question relationship" under Conflict. Both partners receive a worried moodlet, and your Zoi unlocks ways to reflect on the relationship.

REFLECT OR ASK FOR ADVICE

After completing "Question relationship", your Zoi can use these interactions:

• Computer or laptop under GENERAL ACTIONS Ask forum for relationship advice. 
• Mirror: Reassure myself.
• Bookshelf UNDER WRITE SOMETHING: Get relationship thoughts on paper.
• Confidant or BFF, under Thoughts: Ask for advice about relationship dilemma.
• Ask your partner if they miss how things used to be, tell them you are afraid of being alone and MORE!

Each interaction gives your Zoi an emotional reaction. They may feel reassured, become more uncertain, or feel more ready to end the relationship.

KEEP TRYING OR END THINGS

To work things out, choose "Settle differences" under Romance. Both partners react to reconciling, although they may not feel equally confident about it.

To continue towards a breakup, wait three in-game hours, then choose "Say it still isn't going to work" under Conflict. This option stays greyed out until the wait ends. Completing it unlocks the final breakup choices.

CHOOSE HOW TO SAY GOODBYE

The breakup choices include under:

• I just don't see a future with you anymore.
• I want to break up but remain friends.
• I'm just not ready for a relationship.
• Confront their lies and break up
• Plus MORE!

A special breakup option also has a chance to unlock after using the forum advice interaction.

Married Zois receive divorce versions of the choices.

Asking to remain friends has a 50/50 chance of an amicable or bitter ending. Both partners receive moodlets based on the outcome.

An amicable split resets romance to zero. Other endings reduce romance to -100. Existing friendship points remain unchanged.

IF CHEATING IS INVOLVED

A Zoi who has had an affair can choose "Confess infidelity". A partner who knows about the cheating can choose "Threaten to end relationship over cheating".

The betrayed partner can skip the three-hour wait and access the final breakup choices after completing "Question relationship".

AFTER THE BREAKUP

• Click zoi - > smartphone to spy on their bubble story or go through old photos
• Miss being alone in the bed
• Ask your ex for space

Each completed check gives one of four emotional reactions: anger, anxiety, sadness, or happiness.

There is a three-hour cooldown between checks.

COMPATIBILITY AND BUG REPORTS

Mods that change romance, jealousy, relationship rules or the same interactions may conflict with this mod. Compatibility with no-jealousy mods has not been confirmed.

I have tested extensively for major issues, but bugs may still occur. Please report unexpected behaviour, awkward interactions, or problems with moodlet strength and duration.

PLANNED FEATURES

- More breakup interactions.
- More social interactions with romantic partners and ex-partners.
- A relationship history diary showing past partners, breakup details and your Zoi's thoughts about each relationship.

The relationship diary is a longer-term idea that will take time to develop.
