Description

Overview

You can craft a Luminara portal & return portal with an arcanist's workbench. To travel to the red biome, you need to find the portal in Luminara.

Luminara Worldgen V2 is a Hytale world-generation mod that adds two fully custom dimensions to the game with different biomes. Each reachable through a dedicated portal item.

- Luminara - A world of crystals, jungles and rivers. 

- Luminara Red - A crimson world where the horizon glows red.

 

Terrain Generation

Each biome's terrain is built from a node-based density pipeline using Hytale's HytaleGenerator system.

- Base shape: A CurveMapper applied to BaseHeight distance (height-relative shaping) combined with 3-octave SimplexNoise2D at scale 600 for broad landscape variation.

- Cave layer: A custom separate imported Luminara_Caves_Terrain density volume is Min-composited into the surface terrain, carving underground voids throughout the world.

 

Vegetation & Props

Vegetation placement is driven by assignment files referenced inline per biome. Each assignment targets a specific prop category with its own grid spacing, jitter seed, and occurrence field:

Trees:

- Camphor trees (2 prefab variants) — camphor biome

- Green Luminara trees — Beech Stage 3 (12 variants), Oak Stage 4 (5 variants)

- Highland trees

- Pink trees

- Red Fir trees (2 variants) — Luminara Red

 

Ores:

  • Underground ore veins placed on an 8-unit grid throughout the cave layer.
  •  

Fairy Villages:

- The mod generates Fairy Villages procedurally across the world. Each village is assembled from a pool of prefabs

 

Creatures

- Fairy (new creature)

If berries are shown, they pay attention to you.

- Unicorn (new creature)

A custom livestock model, with white mane attachment and white texture. Has both a wild role and a Tamed Unicorn role, making it tameable by players.

- Boar (small group) - this creature is in the default game.

- Bunny (tiny groups) - this creature is in the default game.

- Horse (medium groups) - this creature is in the default game.

All ambient animals (boar, bunny, horse) spawn only during daytime (hours 6–18).
