Aetherworn Lands is a collection of naturalistic biomes with a subtle fantasy throughline, with the aim of injecting the weirdness of real life into the adventurous exploration of a survival crafter.

SUNBAKED LANDS
"Enter the Sunbaked Lands, a semi-arid karst region featuring unique geology combined with novel ecology for a remarkable savanna experience within the world of Orbis.
The vast and rolling Veld is subject to the blazing sun, picture perfect and unbearably hot for all but its most prepared denizens. Oceans of grass give way to pockets of baked earth. Sandylions and cornflowers dot the sunbeaten plains, with only occasional Palo Verdes to stand guard. If you're lucky, you may spot a majestic Jacaranda in full bloom.
Between stretches of plains one can find the seasonal Tinajas–depressed clay beds with pools of water that house clusters of reeds. Many animals can be found here during the day, but during the night the hyenas will seek their fill.
Higher up are the hilly Groves, replete with Gum Trees, more Palos, and even the occasional Boabab. Stony spires break the Groves’ skyline, and pink, white, and orange orchids find refuge in the greener grasses.
Towering over the rest of the terrain are the chalky Krantz, uneven and rough, like sentinels of the grasslands. The sparse sedge and Fig trees makes it unsuitable for most fauna, but the goats make do. Birds of prey will generally leave humans be, but watch your back for the smilodon. Oh, and careful on the way up–those cliffbound junipers are hardy.
And if you get tired of life on the surface, you can descend into the numerous sinkholes across the Veld into the Cathedral caverns of the Karst itself, formed after centuries of acidic water dissolving the subterranean limestone. You'll find vast reservoirs with bioluminescent flora along the water's edge while Sun Crystals sparkle across the cavern ceilings for a truly otherworldly experience.
The Sunbaked Lands are not for the faint of heart or the weak of will, but if it's adventure you seek, you need look no further.
