What's new

Records gets weekly, monthly and seasonal leaderboards for Combat, Gathering and Adventure, and the title picker shows you the quests behind the titles you're missing.

Built for Update 7, and a minigame round that holds your gear now holds your runes and rune bag too. A server still on Update 6 keeps 2.2.0.

New

  • Added weekly, monthly and seasonal leaderboards to Records. Combat, Gathering and Adventure each rank their own numbers, such as Mobs Defeated, Blocks Broken, Quests Completed and Playtime, for This Week, This Month and All Time.
  • Every seasonal event gets a Records tab of its own while it runs, named for the event and its year. It stays after the event ends, and Records keeps each event's two most recent.
  • An event with an Almanac page also gets a tab ranking that page's tallies.
  • Added Renown to Records. It ranks how many of the game's own objectives you've completed and your standing with up to three of the server's reputations, over all time only. Your standing there is what you earned, before anything your gear adds.
  • Your own Renown numbers update when you open Records. Everyone else's stand as of their last login or the last time they opened it.
  • Added the Feastmaster and the Gobliterator, the bosses deep in the goblin Deepworks, to Boss Fights. Each has a tab, and a Gobliterator fight with Hard Mode switched on at the button in its arena keeps one of its own. The fights play as the game made them.
  • Killing a Voidtaken Grizzly or a Revenant Guardian counts as a boss fight won for whoever lands the killing blow, so quests, contracts and achievements that ask for boss fights count it. The Feastmaster counts for everyone who took part.
  • The title picker shows you how to earn a title. A title a quest gives lists that quest under "Not earned yet" with how far along you are, and pressing the line opens it in your book. A finished quest you haven't collected says to collect it there.
  • When a title comes with an achievement you've earned but not collected, the picker tells you to collect it, and the line opens the achievement. If a title has more than one source, a reward waiting to be collected shows first, then an achievement, then a quest.
  • Added secret titles. A secret title stays off the "Not earned yet" list and out of your count until it's yours.
  • Added a count of your titles, such as "2 of 5", on the Title tile in Settings and the picker's Earned heading.
  • A title you earn while showing none goes beside your name straight away. Took yours off with Show none? Then it stays off until you pick one.
  • A quest that hides its later steps ends its step list with a line such as "1 more step after this".
  • A reputation's page lists, under each rank, the achievement that rank earns and what it pays. You collect it under Achievements.
  • Added your gear set to the buff bar. While a set bonus is on, one icon sits beside your other effects with the set's name on hover, and it can change as you put on more of the set. It goes when the bonus does.
  • Timed bonuses a mod gives, such as a boost or a blessing, show there too, each ring running down with the time the bonus has left.
  • Both kinds of icon stay up after you log back in, change worlds or respawn.
  • Added Arcane, Void and Life damage for mods to hit with. Each has damage numbers in a colour of its own and its own death line: "You were killed by arcane damage!", "You were killed by void damage!" and "You were drained of life!".
  • Gear can raise one damage type, such as Fire or Void, by a percent or a flat amount, with or without any mod built on CommonLib. The tooltip names it, such as "Fire Damage: 10%" or "Flat Fire Damage: 5". A bonus to a type covers the types under it, so Physical covers slashing and crushing hits too.

Changes

  • Records has a new look. Each tab opens on where you stand: your rank, how many players are on it and your own number in each column, or, if you're not on it yet, what counts there and how to get on. The top three get gold, silver and bronze trophies and your own row is lit up.
  • Tabs have pictures, with the weeks, months and seasons as buttons under them. Hover a column's name to see what it counts, and click it to rank everyone by it.
  • Boss fight records moved to the Boss Fights tab on Records. Each fight has a tab of its own (one per party size or difficulty where the fight keeps those apart) with Wins, Best Time, Best Share and Damage, over All Time, This Week, This Month and each event's tab.
  • The boss fight records you already have carry over the first time your server starts on this version. The old screen's total and damage taken are no longer kept.
  • Shops have a new look, in the frame of the game's own Memories page. Wares fill a grid of tiles on the left, each with its picture, name and price, which turns red when you can't afford it, and a tag such as "3 left", "Sold out" or "None today".
  • A ware behind a requirement or sold out is dimmed, and hovering any ware you can't buy yet tells you why. Pick one to see it large on the right with its cost, its limits and what you get, and buy it there. Your wallets and the shop's two filters sit under the title.
  • Rewards past a reputation's top rank now wait to be collected. A notice says one is waiting, and the gold Collect button on the reputation's page pays up to 20 at a press. If your bags can't hold the items, they keep waiting.
  • Dropping below a reputation step and earning it a second time no longer pays twice.
  • Reputation you earn in a menu now shows in that menu's notice with the rest of what you got, such as "+250 Town Guard", whether you collected a reward, bought something, took a quest that pays at once or picked a line in a conversation. If a cap held some back, it shows the part you got.
  • That reputation no longer pops up as a bar after you close the menu, so the Settings tab's "Reputation changes in menus" switch is gone. Standing you earn out in the world still shows on the bar.
  • /zighud hide now hides the quest tracker too. While everything is hidden, every Show switch on the Settings tab reads off, and turning one back on brings back the displays you had.
  • The notice for a new title now tells you to choose it in Settings, under Title. The Title tile there shows only while the server offers a title.
  • The Almanac tab in the menu now names the event that started most recently, with its picture, so a short festival inside a longer season shows while it lasts. With no event on, it names the season, as before.
  • Gear set notices now count against the pieces the full set takes: a set that lists two helms and two shields for one helm and one shield reads "2/2", not "2/4". A bonus that's on never shows a count below its own size.
  • When a set bonus comes on with another still ahead, the notice names the next one. A piece that turns on no bonus shows a quiet line with your count.
  • A piece counts only where the set's bonuses want it, so a shield in your main hand no longer counts toward a bonus that wants it in your off hand.

Fixes

  • Fixed achievements you earned before they came with a title never handing it over. You get it the next time you log in, or, when the title comes with collecting the achievement's rewards, once you collect them.
  • When a pack gives an achievement you already earned new rewards, it shows a Collect button and pays only the new ones. That includes one you earned before this version with nothing to collect, once the pack says on which day it added the rewards.
  • A finished board contract left uncollected when its board comes down or its season ends can be collected from your quest book.
  • Fixed a quest that starts by itself on the first thing you do for it never being able to hand in. It hands in to the character who gives it.
  • A character a pack places once and never brings back stays gone after a restart. One killed before this update can stand once more at the first restart, then stays gone.
  • When one thing you do finishes a quest step and moves another, an open menu shows the completion notice. The next step's progress used to cover it.
  • The results screen at the end of a round, such as a Kweebec Nightmare chase, shows the round's time, such as "Total time: 4:32", where it read "Total time: {0}".
  • The queue screen shows its numbers, such as "2/4 survivors", where it showed "{0}" and "{1}".
  • Hovering something with no hover text, such as the Abandon button on a quest's page, no longer opens an empty box.
  • A locked shop offer names what it asks for, such as "Requires Friendly with" a named reputation, where it read "Requires a rank with a reputation". An offer that asks for several things lists each one, and one with more than one way in reads "Unlocked by:" with each way. Hovering it or pressing Buy says the same.
  • Fixed loot tables skipping their random pick whenever a reward or an item's use paid one out. A table made of a pick alone paid nothing; every table pays everything it holds now.
  • A contract you can hand in anywhere, such as a delivery, no longer shows under "Quests here" on every character's quest page or floats the hand-in mark over every character's head. You can still hand it in wherever you are.

For mod and pack authors

  • A banner can take any of the game's banner styles, the goblin breach and void eviction ones among them, and play a sound as it appears. A moment that banners the server, such as a boss fight starting, takes both in its file as Style and SoundEventId; one that writes neither looks and sounds as before.
  • A quest step, a board contract's step or an achievement can list several targets in Targets, beside Target, and any one of them counts, compared the way the step's MatchMode says. Count three kinds of bear toward one hunt without also counting every creature whose name happens to contain the word. The step's line names the first target in the list.
  • A contract's entry in Boards can write its own AcceptRequires, which stands in for the gate the board puts on that contract's difficulty band: an empty block lets anyone take it there, and leaving it out keeps the band's gate.
  • A board contract's own Requires now counts at the board, checked after the board's own gate and its band's; until now a board never read it. A requirement that only switches a feature or a mod on or off still decides whether the contract is posted at all.
  • A shop offer can go on sale only between two dates each year, with "Dates": { "Start": "11-20", "End": "01-06" }. Both days count, a range can cross the new year, dates turn over at midnight UTC, and outside its dates an offer is off the shelf and can't be bought.
  • A conversation, a shop offer or a quest can ask whether a player has earned a title or shows it. A conversation line, a menu tile or a character can open the title picker with "Open": "Titles".
  • A gear set can give each of its bonuses its own buff bar icon (Badge); a set that gives none shows the library's gear set icon. A timed bonus with no icon of its own shows one of the library's two, one for a player's own bonuses and one for the whole server's, and up to four of each show side by side.
  • A gear set file can add to another pack's set by naming it in Joins, with no second set over the same pieces. Its pieces join the set's, and a bonus that asks for the same pieces as one of the set's own joins that bonus, so the full set shows one notice with every line. A file whose set is not on the server adds nothing.
  • Tag your own hits, such as a bomb's blast, with "Tags": {"Hit": ["My_Bomb"]} to tell them apart while they keep the game's damage types, so a creature's fire resistance still counts against a fire bomb. A burn or other effect the hit leaves can carry the same tag, and every tick of it counts as the bomb's.
  • A reward kind file whose command hands over an item can name that item in Hands. Collecting a reward of that kind then waits for bag room, like any other item reward, instead of dropping it at the player's feet.
  • Add stats and Records tabs of your own as JSON; a column nothing on the server counts never shows. A quest, a conversation or a shop can ask how many of something a player has done with ziggfreedcommon:counter, such as Mob_Kills.
  • The Almanac tab names an event only when its calendar file gives it a name and a picture.
  • Nearly everything built against 2.2.x links unchanged. A few members are gone or changed shape, a reputation change record and a title source record among them; the developer notes list each one and what replaces it.

For server owners

  • "$Enabled": false in mods/ziggfreedcommon/stats.json turns stats off: Records stops counting and ranking and its tab goes away, while the Almanac's own tallies still count and what players already have is kept.
  • The same file moves the day a week starts and the time zone weeks and months turn over in, Monday and UTC unless you change them: "Weekly": { "StartsOn": "Sunday", "Zone": "America/New_York" }, and Zone under "Monthly".
  • It also adds date ranges of your own, each a tab that counts from one date to the next and can still be read after it ends: "Launch": { "Kind": "Range", "From": "2026-10-12T00:00", "To": "2026-10-19T00:00" }, with a NameKey from your own lang file to name the tab and a Zone of its own, UTC unless set.
  • /zigstats show --player=<name> lists every stat an online player holds.
  • The menu's Records tab shows whenever your server keeps stats, and when only a boss fight has a record it opens straight to Boss Fights. /zigleaderboard encounter opens Boss Fights too, where --encounter=<id> still picks the fight.
  • In titles.json, "$AutoShow": false stops a new title showing itself, and "Hidden": true on a title makes it secret.
  • "$Chat": true in titles.json shows the title a player picks beside their name in chat. It's off unless you switch it on, and when it's on the title picker says so. Titles still never show over a player's head.
  • /zigtitle grant, revoke and list take a player who is offline, by name or by player id. The change happens the next time they log in, with the same notice as any new title.
  • To change an offer's sale dates, put an offer file of the same name in your own pack, as with any other offer field.
  • A minigame round that was under way when the server updated gives back what it took and leaves its players' runes where they are.
