The Bo Staff trades an edge for momentum — sweeping circle strikes, plus a charging leap that closes distance fast. Crafted from Green Wood at the Weapon Bench, the same wood the Draw Knife strips bare before it's shaped.

Throw it, don't just place it — the Mushroom Glowstick lights wherever it lands. Cheap enough to scatter a whole trail.

Description

Wayfarer's Kit

scrappy, practical toolkit for the wandering survivor — nothing here is meant to last forever, and that's  the point. Everything is cheap to craft, quick to wear out, and built to get you through the next leg of the  journey rather than sit in display case.

What's in the kit:

  • Bo Staff — a wooden staff that trades an edge for reach and momentum.
  • Draw Knife — strips bark off logs, one stubborn pull at a time. Falls apart fast, but it's cheap enough not to care.
  • Shepherd Sling — braided hide and a good eye. Simple, reliable ranged weapon.
  • Wayfarer's Tent — canvas and hide over green wood poles. Pitch it, sleep in it, forget about it by morning.
  • Woven Storage — a fibre-and-burlap sack stretched over a rough frame. Not locked, not pretty, not going anywhere.
  • Knotted Ladder — a rope ladder, knotted rung by rung. Climbs walls and ceilings, doesn't chain into itself.
  • Scrap Chute — an improvised parachute. Weak lift, barely any steering, and durability drains the moment you actually steer it. Cheap enough to carry, dangerous enough to respect.
  • Mushroom Glowstick — a twist of glowing mushroom fibre. Carry it for passive light, or throw it to light up a cave (or an enemy's face).

A note on balance: everything in this kit is intentionally fragile and cheap — durability and recipe costs are tuned so this is early-game, get-you-moving gear, not end-game equipment. If something feels too weak or too strong, that's exactly the kind of feedback I'd love to hear.
