📋 Changelog – Configuration & Vampire Registry Update

Version: VampiricBehaviour – Server Control Update

✨ Added

⚙️ Full Configuration System

  • Added an automatic configuration file generated on first startup.

  • Server administrators can now customize all major vampiric mechanics without recompiling the mod.

  • Configurable systems include:

    • 🩸 Satiety (drain rate, recovery, starvation damage & bonus damage)

    • 🔥 Frenzy (activation thresholds, duration, cooldown, shield behavior)

    • ⚔️ Damage modifiers (bloodlust multiplier, sunlight weakness, lifesteal, stamina recovery)

    • Movement speed (day vs bloodlust)

    • 🌙 Day/night timing and shelter detection

    • ⏱️ Internal update intervals (satiety, HUD, frenzy, speed)

🦇 Vampire Registry & Player Control

  • Added a Vampire Registry system to control which players have vampiric abilities.

  • Introduced support for class-based servers and opt-in vampirism.

  • Vampirism state is persisted across server restarts using vampires.json.

  • Added a new config option:

    • vampire.default_enabled — controls whether all players are vampires by default.

👑 New Admin Commands

  • Added live configuration commands:

    • /vampiric list

    • /vampiric get <key>

    • /vampiric set <key> <value>

    • /vampiric reload

    • /vampiric save

  • Added vampire management commands:

    • /vampiric vampire add <player>

    • /vampiric vampire remove <player>

    • /vampiric vampire toggle <player>

    • /vampiric vampire list

🔧 Improved

  • Server balance flexibility for multiplayer environments

  • Support for RP, PvP, hardcore, and casual playstyles

  • Cleaner separation between vampire and non-vampire gameplay

  • Better foundation for future features (bat form, dark vision, etc.)

📝 Notes

  • Config parameters changes via commands apply immediately but require "/vampiric save" to persist.

  • Manual config edits require /vampiric reload.

  • Vampire registry changes are saved automatically.
