A simple Hytale mount mod which takes Hytale's vanilla creatures and expands them into a full pack of exciting traveling companion mounts and traveling buddies, aiming to enhance traveling around your world with exciting roleplaying vibes and being usefull for your adventures. You can ride them, interact with them, feed them, take care for them and make sure they are safe from the dangers of the world!

Beautifuly enhanced vanilla creature models with a variety of colors and other special mount variants, including some tamed hostile creatures. Each mount was improved in Blockbench, so they look nice and have comfy seats! I focused on gameplay immersion of traveling while sitting on the mount with a satisfying feel to it. And I love adding back rests everywhere!

Each mount comes with simple straight-forward behavior but with many useful interactive options, focusing mainly on providing a reliable, beautiful looking companion to ride and enjoy while traveling across the vast landscapes of Hytale's world, while also allowing players to manage and command their mounts as their owners.

This experimental inventory feature allows players to store and transport some of their items using mounts. Its not an actual chest UI but its an ability to interact with your mount's inventory.

Additional notes to interacting with mounts:
By default, mounts wait in idle animation and can be easily mounted at any point. They are imune to different kinds of attacks, they take damage from you. They dont take fall damage, they dont drop any loot, they dont know how to swim and will sink under water but they can breath under water.

Mounts can be simply crafted in a form of mount crates. Since the aim was to keep it simple, and I didnt want to mess with world generation and spawning logic or taming, each mount has its own craftable item which you can hold in your hand and then right click on the ground to unpack your mount. Mount crates can't be placed as building blocks, right clicking anywhere with the item will unpack your mount. Mount crates can't be stacked to make the storage slightly more interesting.

CRAFTING RECIPES - how to craft Mount Crates
- Goat Mount and Horse Mount are the base mounts which can be crafted using the Farmer's Workbench. Other wild mounts are available in Farmer's Workbench in tiers 2 and 3.
- Hostile tamed mounts can be found in Arcanist's Workbench.

- Upcoming plan to add more customizations to each mount. This will be a mayor change, so Im still just planning stuff. If I decide to go with this, we will see more variety in colors of the same mount. Similar to how my Horse mounts work(base horse, various horse mounts with decorated cloth), but instead of having multiple mounts, they will be merged into one mount which you will be able to customize and decorate with different items!
- Rework to obtaining of mounts. Switching from crafting to spellbooks and magic. To make getting a new mount more exciting and adventurous, Instead of crafting mounts, players will have to make a special Grimoire transforming spell books - inspired by the awesome skeleton army summoning grimoire we have in the game now. This will be a big change, as instead of crafting your mount, now you will have to craft a grimoire spell book(there will be more tiers based on mount rarity). And then find the wild animal of your choice and use the spell book on them to turn them into your mount! This might bring some new random variety and random events that might happen as you try to turn the wild animal to become your mount. For hostile mounts, this means that you might need to actually fight them and defeat them to become your mounts! I have lots of interesting ideas with this one, but this is a lot of technical a code related stuff so we will see what is possible to make this happen.

Im mostly an artist guy so Im trying to figure out what I can, but a help with improving movement and npc behavior would be awesome. In the meantime, I do hope that Hytale devs will greatly improve these aspects, definitely including better mount controller and taming in my opinion.
