TheArmoryMod-1.20.0.jar
What's new
The Armory 1.20.0
A new Scribing Table, a rebuilt Alteration Table, an armour rebalance and a long list of fixes.
Before you update
If you coloured an Alteration Table, change it back first. The nine coloured versions are being removed.
Restyling your gear costs materials now. On 1.19 you could restyle a piece for free, as many times as you liked, at any Builder's Workbench. From 1.20 it only happens at the Alteration Table, and every change spends a charge. One Alteration Kit is three charges.
Everything else:
- Your already placed Alteration Table keeps working. It arrives with no charges, so feed it kits before you use it
- Every Armory variant recipe moved off the Builder's Workbench, 1206 of them
- Crafting a new Alteration Table needs a Tier 2 Workbench, up from Tier 1
Added
Scribing Table, a writing desk that names your gear
- Give any item a custom name and description
- Colours, bold and italics, with a guide on the screen
- Live preview of the tooltip as you type
- Works on any item, vanilla included, and applies to the whole stack
- Leave a box blank to put the original text back
- Costs 1 Inkwell per inscription
- Crafting = Workbench, Tier 2 : 20 planks of any kind, 2 Bolt of Linen, 1 Inkwell
Scribe Lock, seals an inscription permanently
- A sealed item shows who sealed it and when
- Takes two deliberate presses, so you cannot seal by accident
- Staff can break a seal
- Crafting = Arcanist's Workbench : 3 Iron Ingot, 4 Essence of Ice, 3 Essence of Water
Alteration Kit, fuel for the Alteration Table
- One kit is three alterations, and a table holds 50 kits
- Right click a table while holding kits to stock it
- Right click anywhere else to set it down as decoration
- Crafting = Workbench, Tools tab : one each of Red, Green and Blue Crystal Shards, and 1 Iron Ingot
The Alteration Table is its own bench now, and has its own screen
- Your gear keeps its durability and everything stored on it. Altering used to hand the item back at full durability and wipe enchantments and other mods' data
- Pick from your bag or from the armour you are wearing
- Searchable list with tabs for Head, Chest, Hands, Legs and Weapon
- Runs on Alteration Kits, and burns a stocked one automatically when it empties
- Reopens on the last item you picked there
Other changes:
- Daemon sets rebalanced. Gluttonous Helm is the tank pick, Cyclops Helm the caster pick, Daemon Helm sits between them. Daemon Gauntlets and Daemon Sabatons gain health and mana, and the whole set now shares one resistance value
- Raggedy Hats and Scarecrow Visages grant mana, all 18 of them
- Both benches name themselves when you look at them instead of saying "interact"
- Both benches have collision fitted to their actual shape
- Both benches now appear in the Armory tab in creative, under Props
Fixed
- Scarecrow Visages and Raggedy Hats offered to turn into vanilla iron helmets, which destroyed the piece. Relentless and the Aspect of the Magma Toad, Snow Leopard and Vulture masks had the same problem
- Thorium shield recolors were filed as swords, so salvaging one returned double ore and altering one offered sword skins
- The whole Daemon set was missing from the Alteration Table, and was still convertible at a Builder's Workbench on the old path that wiped enchantments
- Blue Cavalier Gauntlets could not be crafted at all
- Blue Cavalier leggings could not be altered, the only piece of the set that could not
- Jump height and move speed bonuses stopped working after a reconnect until you took the item off and put it back on
- Some bows missed their arrow damage bonus
- An item from another mod with a deeply nested tooltip could disconnect you at either bench
- Durability read differently at the two benches
- Search missed items with multi coloured names
Removed
- The nine coloured Alteration Table variants, to free up texture atlas space
Server owners
- Vanilla items are patched now instead of copied, so a Hytale update to one of those items reaches your players instead of being frozen at an old version
- New crash reporting and a server count. Neither sends player names, addresses, chat or world data. Both can be turned off, and the settings live in your server directory
