Contrary to the description of the official submission, F3 to disable collision is no longer needed to free the player and start exploring, as a proper spawn location was introduced after release.
This biome is dark, so it is recommended to spawn in a torch or other handheld light source. For the best experience, have your setup in a dimly lit area.
A pickaxe is not normally needed to progress, but in case of bad luck, should be used to get the player unstuck.
