Abilities

Slot Name Cooldown Description
Minor Deploy Turret 90s Deploys a turret on a 2-block cobblestone pillar that fires bolts at the locked target every 2s for 30s. Range: 60 blocks. Damage: 5 per bolt
Major Bomb Battery 180s Deploys 3 bomb turrets on cobblestone pillars that fire explosive bombs every 3s for 15s. Range: 60 blocks. Damage: 15 per bomb + knockback + Explosion_Medium VFX
Signature Flamethrower 320s Swaps the companion's crossbow to the Goblin Flamethrower for 20 seconds. During the swap, the companion fires continuous flame attacks at 1s intervals dealing direct fire damage at range with Impact_Fire VFX and flamethrower sound. Crossbow is automatically restored when the duration expires

Turret System

  • Turrets are tracked via Java (base game turrets are non-functional)
  • Projectiles spawn from stored world positions, not the companion
  • Turrets deploy on a 2-block cobblestone pillar for increased height
  • Cobblestone blocks are cleaned up when turrets expire
  • All turrets are cleaned up on pet despawn

Flamethrower Weapon Swap

  • Companion visually holds the Flamethrower_Goblin model during the 20s duration
  • Auto-attacks are overridden to deal direct damage (no projectile) with fire VFX
  • FlamethrowerSource entity effect + Companion_EngineerFlamethrower aura applied during swap
  • Normal auto-attacks suppressed — native flamethrower behavior takes over
  • Crossbow automatically restored after 20s (even if pet leaves combat)

15 Engineer Talents (5 tiers x 3)

2 — Battery Cluster Bombs (+40% dmg), Heavy Ordnance (stun 1.0s), Extra Battery (+2 turrets)
3 — Global Efficient Design (-20% CDs), Ballistic Training (+15% dmg), Extended Range (+30% range)
4 — Flamethrower Inferno (+5 hits), Superheated (+50% dmg), Napalm (stun 0.8s, +4 targets)
5 — Mastery Master Engineer (+25% dmg), Overclock (-30% CDs), Demolitions Expert (+50% crit dmg)

Other Changes

  • Crossbow removed from Archer class detection — crossbow now routes to Engineer
  • Bow-only for Archer class (unchanged behavior)
  • Crossbow auto-attacks use "Crossbow" + "Shoot" item animation (6-param)
