What is Retro+?
Retro+ takes the heart and soul of classic 16-bit games and gives them a high-quality modern treatment. The shapes, colors, and feel are instantly recognizable to anyone who played the originals — but with crisp textures, better lighting, and the polish of today’s standards.
This is a pack designed for Map making but I'm doing my best to keep everything accessable in vanilla. Let me know if you have any ideas for handling this level of additional assets.
Current Focus: Zelda-style RPG Assets - And its proving to be a very big project in itself. May end up being just a Zelda Asset Pack.
Build a bridge to Hyrule - You now have the ability to travel through a tunnel to Hyrule as it was before Link moved to town. There are no buildings just Zelda inspired landscape to build your own Hyrule! Costs 100 Rupees
I've already added the ability to transfer vanilla items into Rupees but to take it one step further I am introducing mobs that drop hearts and rupees. Hearts work similar to food and will give you a little life back.
Green Knights will show up in random areas throughout Zone1 Plains.
And of course you cannot beat up those bad guys without your ancestrial Sword and Shield. Purchase each for 50 rupees.

Current Content – Zelda-Style RPG Theme
A rich collection of blocks, slabs, stairs, carpets, plaster walls, doors, windows, and more inspired by classic 16-bit RPG worlds.
Highlights include:
- Hylian-style bricks, stones, and tiles in multiple variants
- Detailed plaster and floor edging for authentic building
- Functional Link’s Workbench with custom crafting categories (Possibly Leaving Soon)
- Nature elements, cliffs, paths, and decorative pieces
- Walls that work like stairs so build themselves when turning
- And so much more. I couldnt take pictures of everything but there are some really cool QOL items added that I think many of you will enjoy.
Future Themes (Roadmap)
I’m actively expanding Retro+ with more retro franchises. Possible nexts:
- Super Metroid - Mechanical Blocks, ?
- Castlevania – Gothic castle stones, haunted manor details, and classic horror elements
- Sonic the Hedgehog – Loop rings, checkered zones, and speedy platformer style
- More retro titles based on community feedback (NES, SNES, SEGA, etc.)
