Summary

This mod adds lots of new bear traps and spike traps to the game that can be crafted with the new Trapper's Workbench.

Current features:

1 new crafting bench with 5 tiers.
12 new Bear Traps.
7 new Spike Traps.
Craftable Boomshrooms, Floor Traps, and Brambles.
Adjustments to the Bear Trap functionality.

Details

To begin using any of the new traps, you will need to craft the new Trapper's Workbench. This can be crafted in the basic Workbench with the following materials:

Copper Ingot x4
Any Tree Log x6
Linen Scraps x8

The first tier of the Trapper's Workbench will have some pretty simple traps, but you'll unlock more fun and interesting traps as you upgrade it all the way to Tier 5.

The Trapper's Workbench is split into different categories for every single type of trap.

While the Trapper's Workbench includes the original traps, those can also be crafted in their original workbenches. The Trapper's Workbench also includes items that were previously uncraftable!

Tier 1 - Sticky Traps

Sticky traps are one of the few first traps that you are able to craft with the Trapper's Workbench. The Sticky Spike Trap will slow players down, while Sticky Bear Traps can be placed on the side and under blocks, unlike regular Bear Traps. To craft a sticky trap, you'll need 15 tree sap.

Tier 1 - Poisoned Traps

Poisoned traps will inflic poison on entities. To craft a poisoned trap, you'll need 15 Venom Sacs.

You're also able to combine Sticky Wooden Spikes and Poisoned Wooden Spikes!

Tier 2 - Incandescent Traps

Incandescent Traps will lit any entity that comes in contact with them on fire, dealing some extra damage that can be canceled out with water. To craft an incandescent trap, you'll need 15 charcoal.

Tier 3 - Frozen Traps

Frozen traps will slow the player down a considerable amount.

Tier 3 / 4 - Underwater Traps

Underwater traps only work underwater against swimming entities. These will also take away oxygen from players. The Oxygen-Snatching bear trap will take an even larger amount of oxygen from the player.

Tier 5 - Explosive Bear Trap

The explosive bear trap requires a Large Boomshroom, which can be crafted at the last tier of the Trapper's Workbench. This Bear Trap deals lots of damage, breaks blocks around it, and destroys itself once used.

Tier Related Traps

Each tier will correspond to an ore, and will unlock you traps related to that ore alongside other traps. For now, this only applies to Bear Traps. Tier-related spikes are coming soon!

Weaker Traps

This mod comes with weaker bear traps that you can also make. These may be weak on their own, but can be useful to craft even stronger traps!

Uncraftable Items

Some previously uncraftable items are now craftable using the Trapper's Workbench! For example, the grass trap, the brambles, and the boomshroom.
