Natural Magic is a nature-themed magical mod centered around arcane energy, living essence, and the subtle forces that bind the natural world together.

Design Philosophy

Magic in Natural Magic is meant to be performed, not selected.

The core design focuses on hands-on player interaction, where magical effects emerge through placement, timing, and environmental awareness rather than passive GUIs. Players are encouraged to experiment, observe, and engage directly with the world as magic unfolds around them.

Crafting benches are considered a temporary solution. As the mod evolves, traditional crafting interfaces will be replaced with more physical, in-world magic systems — rituals, infusions, and interactions that make magic feel alive and earned.

Every system aims to ensure the player feels like they are doing magic, not simply clicking through it.

Wand of Return
- Bind a location and return to it after a short charge
Groveweaver's Table
- A dedicated crafting station for Natural Magic items
- Intended as a temporary system during early development
Verdant Wisps
- Naturally spawning magical creatures found in early biomes
- Can be captured using Empty Lanterns to create Fairy Lanterns
Fairy Lanterns
- Provide a crop growth speed bonus when placed nearby
- Effects stack with other growth modifiers
- Strength is configurable
Lifebloom Lily
- A magical swamp plant that grows on water
- Absorbs life essence from nearby grown crops
- Converts water beneath it into Liquid Life once fully charged
Liquid Life
- A magical liquid that grants health regeneration while submerged
- Can be collected and transported in buckets
Liquid Life Infusion
- Items thrown into Liquid Life can absorb its magical energy
- Currently supports wood log infusion

Development continues to prioritise mechanics and interaction over item quantity, ensuring each addition has purpose and depth.
