ModSync

ModSync is a Hytale server plugin that synchronizes mod lists from various sources (CurseForge implemented, extensible to others). It allows server administrators to manage and synchronize mods via in-game commands.

Added

  • CFWidget provider: URL-based mod lookups for Curseforge via the CFWidget API as fallback (no API key required)
  • Modtale provider (alpha): Experimental Modtale support with API key
  • Config: Option to disable the admin welcome message
  • Release channel fallback: If no version is found for the configured channel (e.g., Release), ModSync now automatically falls back to Beta, then Alpha. A warning is shown when a fallback is used.

Changed

  • URL handling: Providers now parse URLs directly and are tried in priority order (CurseForge first)
  • Config keys: API keys are now set per provider via /modsync config key <provider> <key> (no global current source)

Fixed

  • Import messaging: Clearer errors when no provider can resolve a URL or when search is unsupported
  • Beta/Alpha-only mods: Mods with only Beta or Alpha releases can now be installed (automatic fallback from Release channel)
