For game update 0.5, no other mod dependencies. There is compatability with Magic and Machines if you want to automate your smeltery (or coke oven) or make filling your lava tank easier.
There is a tutorial book that will help you get started and have all the information you need
Weapons have been balanced so their highest dps option matches up pretty fairly against the sword's dps (eg. dagger charged spam is similar to just swinging your sword constantly).
Mithril and onyxium do have full support even though they are not currently obtainable in exploration.
