MMOSkillTree-1.7.2.jar
What's new
MMO Skill Tree 1.7.2 is out now! Every bounty board opens on the quest page, and the Skills tab on Records gets weekly, monthly and seasonal races.
Built for Hytale Update 7, like 1.7.1. It needs Ziggfreed's CommonLib 2.4.0, which brings dungeons, parties and a Claims tab with it, and RPG Stations 1.1.1 or newer if you run it.
ONE PAGE FOR ALL YOUR WORK
With CommonLib 2.4.0, every bounty board now opens on the quest page, the same page the people who give out work use. Take a contract, reroll it, hand it in and collect your pay without leaving it. The board's wallets sit at the top with a countdown to its next contracts, and a contract you can't take yet waits under Locked with what it still needs. The contract link in the Adventurer's Guide takes you straight there.
With Seasons of Orbis 1.2.0, Old Jack hands out his board jobs on his own quest page too.
Weekly races on the Skills tab
The Skills tab on Records now ranks This Week, This Month and each season by the XP you gained in it, for your total, each category and each skill, with everyone's level beside their name. All Time still ranks by level. Every week starts from zero, so anyone can top it.
Wait... There's More!?
Reward notices list what a loot bundle gave under the bundle's own name. Level up with a menu open and the level-up shows right there, with the quest step it finished after it. And your burns and poisons no longer trigger your weapon's critical hits or heal you on every tick. The Adventurer's Guide's story quests now lead your quest lists as main quests. With Seasons of Orbis 1.2.0, its Headless Horseman pays Defense XP.
We'll see you in Orbis!
The full changelog
Bounty boards and quests
- Bounty boards now open on the quest page. Here lists the board's contracts and the ones you took there, Mine lists everything you carry, and you take, reroll, hand in and collect on the same page.
- The board's page shows its picture, its wallets and a countdown to new contracts. Reroll sits on every contract you haven't taken, with its price and your rerolls left in its hint.
- A contract you can't take yet sits under Locked and lists everything it still needs.
- The contract link in the Adventurer's Guide opens the board's page with that contract picked.
- With Seasons of Orbis 1.2.0, Old Jack hands out his board jobs and errands on his own quest page.
- The Adventurer's Guide's story quests, from Getting Started to Keeper of the Deep in the Forgotten Temple, now show as main quests in your quest lists.
- The quest tracker now reads "Return to the Adventurer's Guide", where it left out "the".
Records
- The Skills tab now ranks This Week, This Month and each season by XP gained, for Total Level, Gathering, Combat, Production, Misc and each skill, with each player's level beside their name, such as "Lv 42". All Time ranks by level and total XP as before.
- Weeks, months and seasons count from this version on, so they start empty until someone gains XP.
Rewards, notices and achievements
- Added a chest a boss leaves where it falls, with CommonLib 2.4.0. Open it to take your share of the rewards: only yours shows, and anything you leave waits on the Claims tab.
- A reward that includes a loot bundle lists what the bundle gave under the bundle's own name, after your other rewards.
- Skill Lamps now land like anything you pick up, with the game's own pickup notice, or at your feet when your bag is full. Rewards that waited for you arrive once you're in the world, the same way.
- Fixed a level-up hiding behind an open menu. It shows in the menu you have open, and the quest step it completes shows right after it instead of being lost.
- A win against the Gobliterator on Hard Mode now also earns Gobliterator Down, beside Gobliterator Down: Hard.
- Fixed achievements with several steps, such as Well Rounded and Ranger's Test, listing every step as "Unnamed step". Each step shows its own words, and the achievements search finds them.
- Fixed a skill's Item Rewards showing "Invalid Item" with a blank icon where its XP token should be.
Combat and abilities
- School resistances from the skill tree, mastery and enhanced gear now add up with resistance from any other mod's gear, under the same cap.
- Fixed burns, poisons and rune effects you cause setting off your weapon's critical hits, lifesteal, combo and on-hit effects on every tick, and paying your weapon's skill XP each tick. A tick that kills still counts as your kill, and a Lantern Bomb's burn still trains Artillery.
- Ability binds you set on the Abilities page now save the moment you set them, where some servers saved them only when you logged out.
- Items keep the game's own Q action, since MMO Skill Tree no longer adds its own to every item. With your abilities off, Q on an item with no move of its own stays silent.
Seasons of Orbis
- With Seasons of Orbis 1.2.0, the Headless Horseman pays Defense XP: his daily Claim adds 1,500, the Hoard from your first win each day 4,000, and clearing his graveyard 1,500, half on later clears that day. On the hard ride they pay 2,500, 8,000 and 2,500.
- The Horseman Falls, Horseman Hunter and Horseman's Bane pay 1,000, 3,000 and 8,000 Defense XP to collect, and Off With His Head 2,000. Old Jack's quests The Rider and Fire for the Lantern pay 2,500 and 4,000 Defense XP.
- By Lantern Light pays 3,000 Artillery XP and Lamplighter 5,000.
- Season to Season, Round the Year and Seasons of Orbis each pay an XP boost token for every skill: 1.25x, 1.5x and 2x XP for an hour.
For server owners
/mmobountyui <player> [board], the command an NPC or a script calls, now opens the board on that player's quest page./mmoachievements,/mmoabilitiesand the player side of/mmoability(use, bind, unbind, input and list) now check their own permission nodes, like every other command. See Migration notes.- A player without permission for a command now sees the denial in their own language.
/mmoconfig validatenow also checks reward kind files, bonus loot rows and dungeons, so it may list problems in pack files that were already broken.- Admin pages always answer a click, so a setting never seems to do nothing, and only an operator can change the skill and command permission switches on the General page.
- The Bar Panels note on the HUD & Abilities page says what the HUD bars page sets, and Open takes you there.
- The mastery admin help now explains overrides correctly: write only the fields you change, and the rest keeps what the track ships with.
- The
_referencefolder no longer collects old files: references for configs the mod retired are removed at start-up, and the empty mastery, classes and mob drop references are gone. - MMO Skill Tree no longer carries its own copy of Hallow's Eve's skill XP, its Harvest Moon boost and its four skill dailies. Seasons of Orbis has carried the same ones since 1.1.0, so nothing changes on a server running it.
For pack authors
- The three hold-to-charge ability roots, which nothing used, are gone. See Migration notes.
- MMO Skill Tree's own school resistance stats are gone, replaced by CommonLib's damage resistance stats. See Migration notes.
/mmomigratenames any file that still uses CommonLib 2.4.0's retired reputation-earned factor or a reputation's Gear group, and says what replaces it.- Quests and achievements can count the dungeon runs you start (
INSTANCE_ROUND_STARTED) and the rounds you lose (INSTANCE_ROUND_LOST). A dungeon run's target isdungeon:<difficulty>and its qualifier the dungeon's id. - Quests and achievements can also count wearing enough of a gear set for one of its bonuses, and a boss fight won a particular way, two kinds CommonLib 2.4.0 adds.
- Conversations gate a line with CommonLib's
Requirescondition, andHasActiveBountiescomes from CommonLib now, so a pack can use both without MMO Skill Tree. A line that still writesGatekeeps working, and the server log names it. - The dialogue actions
RewardandRunCommand, and theirRewardandRunshorthand, still work but are deprecated: pay throughGrant, and run a command with aGrantrow of KindCommand./mmoconfig validatenames each line that still uses one. - A level reward that runs
/mmoboost giveand has a name of its own (localizationKey) but no description now shows the boost's multiplier and minutes as its description, so a named boost still says what it gives.
Migration notes
- An item that still names one of the three removed hold-to-charge ability roots no longer loads. Move it onto the ability roots MMO Skill Tree still ships; the developer notes name the removed ones and their replacements.
- An item whose stats give one of MMO Skill Tree's old school resistance stats still loads, but that stat gives nothing. Rename it to CommonLib's resistance stat for the same damage type; the developer notes list the new names. Resistance rolls already saved on gear players enhanced carry over by themselves.
- If you turned on command permissions, give players
mmoskilltree.command.mmoachievements,mmoskilltree.command.mmoabilitiesandmmoskilltree.command.mmoabilityso they keep/mmoachievements,/mmoabilitiesand/mmoability.
