### v1.2.0 A new Taming skill, finer control over reward popups, and a translations rework, plus three bug fixes. - **New: Taming skill (with Alec's Animal Husbandry).** A brand-new skill that levels as you care for tamed companions. It turns on automatically when **[Alec's Animal Husbandry](https://www.curseforge.com/hytale/mods/alecs-animal-husbandry)** (the companion mod, built on the **Alec's Tamework API**) is installed, and stays completely hidden otherwise, so servers that don't use companions never see it. Feeding and watering give a small steady trickle of experience, harvesting drops gives more, and breeding gives the most. Combat experience is kept low to discourage grinding, and experience from damage your companions take is off by default. Server owners can retune every Taming XP value. - **New: [MMO Skill Taming Pack](https://www.curseforge.com/hytale/mods/mmo-skill-tree-taming-skill-pack-alecs-tamework).** A standalone content pack that ships the Taming skill's quests, achievements, repeatable daily and weekly goals, per-level experience-boost rewards, and the default Taming XP map. Install it alongside Alec's Animal Husbandry; all of its content stays hidden whenever Taming is not active. - **New: Reward Notification toggles in Settings.** A **Reward Notifications** master toggle (on by default) with **Skill Tree Reward Notifications** and **Item Reward Notifications** sub-toggles underneath. The skill-tree toggle controls the "New {skill} reward available" popup that fires when a skill levels past a tree tier; the item toggle controls the "item reward available" popup for command and level rewards. Turn the master off to silence both, or flip just one. Your rewards are unaffected, claim them anytime from the Rewards menu. - **Translations now use Hytale's standard `.lang` format.** All 9 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Hungarian, Turkish) ship bundled in the jar, with native names in the Settings language picker (English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Italiano, Português, Русский, Magyar, Türkçe). Same strings and coverage as v1.1.6, just a different delivery format. Because they're now in Hytale's native format, any third-party `.lang` translation pack on the same server can override or extend them without touching the mod, and your `mods/mmoskilltree/localization/messages-.json` admin overrides keep working unchanged. - **Community translations channel.** The translations live in an open-source repo at [github.com/arfemia/MMOSkillTranslationsPack](https://github.com/arfemia/MMOSkillTranslationsPack) and will land on CurseForge as a separate pack once approval comes through. Until then the bundled copy keeps everything working out of the box. - **Fixed: XP gain popups showed an inflated number when earning XP in more than one skill at once.** In combat, where you gain weapon-skill XP from dealing damage and defense XP from taking it, the popup could read something like "+1,556 Block XP" while the bar only moved by the real amount (+68). Each skill now batches and shows its own gain, so the "+N" on every popup matches that skill's progress bar. Your stored XP was always correct; only the popup number was wrong. - **Fixed: skill tree rewards could get stuck on a loading spinner when claiming.** On heavily customized trees (where tiers had rewards added, removed, or reduced), clicking Claim could leave the menu spinning forever. Claims that can't be granted now show a brief "that reward isn't available" message and refresh the tree instead of hanging, and a customized tree can no longer fail to open. - **Fixed: fishing-rod catches now count toward fish achievements and statistics.** Catching a fish with a rod used to advance only fishing quests. It now also advances fish-catch achievements and your lifetime fish-caught statistic, matching how fish caught by killing fish mobs already worked. - **Fixed: admin commands run reliably in-game.** Several admin and player commands (XP boosts, XP awards, currency, mastery, class selection, quests, and the content-pack tools) could fail with an internal error when typed by a player in-game, even though they worked fine from the server console. They now run reliably whether typed in-game or from the console.
