v0.9.0 - Combat XP Modes & Item Requirements

NOTE: I will be taking some time off for the next week to attend to personal matters

  • Damage-based combat XP - New combat XP mode where offensive weapon skills gain XP equal to damage dealt (1:1 ratio). A hit dealing 15 damage awards 15 XP
  • Damage+Kill hybrid mode (new default) - Combines damage-based XP with mob kill bonuses. Earn 1 XP per damage dealt, plus bonus XP when you land the killing blow. This is now the default mode for new servers
  • Four combat XP modes available - Choose from Damage (1:1), Damage+Kill (hybrid), Per-Hit (traditional weapon XP maps), or Kill-Only (XP only on kills) in the admin dashboard
  • Item level requirements system (off by default) - Lock weapons, tools, armor (soon tbd), and blocks behind skill level requirements. Players must meet the required levels to use items or mine blocks
  • Multiple skill requirements - A single item can require different skills at different levels (e.g., Smithing 30 AND Mining 50), plus an optional total level requirement
  • Block and tool enforcement - When mining, both the block AND your held tool are checked. Using a high-tier pickaxe you don't meet requirements for prevents mining. A red notification shows what levels you need
  • Weapon enforcement - Attacks with weapons you don't meet requirements for deal no damage. Same red notification system
  • Default ore requirements - Ores have Mining level requirements by default: Copper (1), Iron (10), Silver (20), Gold (30), Cobalt (40), Mithril (50), Adamantite (60), Thorium (70), Onyxium (80). Gems require Mining 50-90
  • Tool type requirements (off by default) - Blocks can require specific tool types to break. Default rules: ores and rocks require pickaxes, logs require axes, and soil/dirt/sand require shovels
  • Weapon type requirements - Mobs can require specific weapon types to damage. Server owners can configure special enemies that only take damage from certain weapons
  • Item Requirements admin page - New admin UI page to browse, add, edit, and disable item requirements. Access from the admin dashboard
  • Tool Requirements admin page - New admin UI page to configure what tools can break which blocks and what weapons can damage which mobs. Access via "Tool Requirements" button in admin dashboard
  • Disable All / Enable All buttons - Boost Templates admin page now has buttons to quickly disable or enable all templates in the current view
