What's new

MenuInfoPages 1.1.5

Added

  • Added /infopages reload to reload pages without restarting the server.
  • Added /infopages newpage <name> <command> to create new page templates directly from the server.
  • New and modified page commands are registered immediately after reload.
  • Added automatic page opening with once, always and dismissible modes.
  • Added optional world/instance filtering for automatically opened pages.
  • Added versioned auto-open states, allowing pages to be shown again after increasing their version.
  • Added persistent "Do not show again" support for dismissible pages.
  • Existing pages automatically receive a disabled autoOpen configuration when the module is missing.
  • Added support for remote HTTP/HTTPS PNG images.
  • Remote images are downloaded and cached locally.
  • Remote images keep their original filename in the cache.
  • Added automatic cleanup of unused cached remote images on server startup.
  • Added reload.yml to control remote-image live reload.
  • Increased the maximum number of bottom page buttons from 3 to 5.
  • Added full UI support for all five buttons with primary, secondary and danger styles.

Changed

  • /infopages reload now validates page files before applying changes.
  • Text, titles, sections, buttons, commands, auto-open settings and other page configuration can now be updated without restarting the server.
  • Command registrations are refreshed automatically when pages are added, removed or renamed.
  • Remote image loading no longer blocks normal page rendering while images are being downloaded.
  • JPG/JPEG remote images are rejected. Remote images must currently use PNG format.
  • Large PNG images remain supported, with warnings when their dimensions or file size are unusually high.
  • Remote images are stored together in a simple shared cache folder while preserving their original filenames.
  • README documentation is now also available directly inside the mods/MenuInfoPages/ folder, so server administrators do not need to open the JAR to read it.
  • The example page has been expanded to demonstrate the new 1.1.5 features.

Remote Image Reload

Remote-image live reload is experimental but functional and can be enabled in reload.yml: reload-images: true

This option is especially useful while creating or editing pages, allowing administrators to test different remote images without restarting the server after every change.

At the moment, live image updates may temporarily affect some UI/HUD images for players who are already connected. Reconnecting restores the normal UI.

The feature is fully optional and will continue to be maintained and improved in future versions.

The recommended default setting is: reload-images: false

With this setting, /infopages reload still updates page text, sections, buttons, commands, auto-open settings and the rest of the configuration normally.

New or changed remote images become visible after the next server restart.

Fixed

  • Fixed reload-related command registration issues.
  • Fixed newly created pages requiring a server restart before their commands became available.
  • Fixed remote-image downloads potentially blocking the server during reload.
  • Fixed stale cached remote images accumulating indefinitely.
  • Improved remote-image cache handling.
  • Improved behavior when switching between previously cached remote images.
  • Improved reload handling when no remote image has changed.
  • Improved overall stability of page and remote-image reloading.
