Highly Configurable

MagePack exposes most gameplay values through config:

  • Cooldowns
  • Ranges
  • Damage/falloff
  • Reagents and per-ability costs
  • Friendly fire and self-damage rules
  • SFX/VFX IDs
  • Spellbook slot mapping
  • Charge mapping settings

Reagents are consumed only on successful casts.

Under the new itemVisuals config section, you can now override:

  • Spellbook visuals
  • Staff visuals
  • Broom visuals

Editable fields include:

  • model
  • texture
  • icon
  • animation
  • playerAnimationsId
  • droppedItemAnimation
  • usePlayerAnimations
  • iconProperties

Known Limitations

  • Void Snare/Anchor do not affect dropped items (intentional).
  • Some effects still use placeholder assets where native/custom VFX are pending.
  • Some SDK APIs are deprecated where no stable replacement currently exists.
  • Witch's Broom has no Vertical control besides boosting and hopping off the broom.

Planned Content

  • More spellbooks and spell families
  • Additional Magical Items
  • Additional robe sets and progression hooks
  • Expanded utility/control spell roster
  • More custom visuals and polish
  • Ongoing balance updates
