What's new
Machine Blocks 1.4.1
Machine Blocks 1.4.1 introduces a more secure and flexible wireless power system, along with improvements to the Machine Blocks Workbench, pipes, documentation, and world-loading stability.
## Wireless Power Extenders
Wireless Power Extenders let you extend generator power networks across longer distances.
* Store power in a persistent internal buffer.
* Relay power from generators or other extenders.
* Continue powering machines from stored energy when an upstream source is unavailable.
* Prevent relay loops automatically.
* Apply an additional transmission cost for each relay hop.
* Require an installed Wireless Power Coupler.
Extenders can be upgraded directly from their normal interaction screen. The upgrade panel shows the next level, required materials, available inventory quantities, storage capacity, range, and receiver capacity.
| Level | Storage | Range | Receivers |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5,000 | 16 blocks | 4 |
| 2 | 15,000 | 24 blocks | 8 |
| 3 | 40,000 | 32 blocks | 12 |
| 4 | 100,000 | 48 blocks | 16 |
| 5 | 250,000 | 64 blocks | 24 |
Creative players can upgrade extenders without consuming materials. Ownership and claim permissions still apply.
## Wireless Power Security
Wireless generators, extenders, and Couplers now use persistent player-owned power channels.
* New generators and extenders remember their owner.
* Couplers bind to the first player inventory that receives them.
* Other players can no longer freely draw power from nearby systems.
* Ownership is checked across generator, extender, and machine connections.
* Simple Claims can authorize shared access inside claimed areas.
* Administrators can recover protected systems with the Machine Blocks power admin permission (machineblocks.power.admin).
* Existing systems migrate conservatively to avoid granting unintended access.
## Machine Blocks Workbench
The Machine Blocks Workbench has received a visual redesign.
* Carbon-fiber tabletop.
* Brushed-steel legs and supports.
* Steel-and-wood hammer.
* Machine Blocks battery, Coupler, and drum details.
* Glowing cyan workbench accents.
* Updated workbench inventory icon.
## Pipes
Pipe inventory icons have been refreshed to better match the actual placed pipe designs.
* Transport, Push, and Pull roles are easier to distinguish.
* Updated tier artwork.
## Stability Improvements
Machine and pipe visual updates are now delayed until the client has completed world setup.
This prevents connection failures caused by block-state packets being sent before the client is ready to enter the world.
The protection covers pipes, factory machines, generators, exhaust effects, and Tier 4 processing visuals.
## Documentation
The in-game Power Systems documentation now covers:
* Wireless Power Extender operation.
* Coupler installation.
* Extender upgrades.
* Relay routing and transmission costs.
* Creative-mode upgrades.
* Player ownership.
* Simple Claims integration.
* Addon power API usage.
