Machine Blocks 1.3.4 — Tree Cultivator
The Grand Network of Mystical Engineers is pleased to announce the successful automation of forestry.
The forest was considered inefficient. It has been corrected.
Tree Cultivator
The Tree Cultivator was originally designed to produce renewable timber without requiring engineers to enter areas containing wildlife, rain, or uneven ground.
Early prototypes produced a tree inside the fuel compartment. Containment procedures have since been revised.
- Uses a filled water tankard, dirt, supported sapling, and reusable Hatchet.
- Produces 16–32 matching logs every 60 seconds.
- Returns the dirt, sapling, empty tankard, and Hatchet.
- Provides six output slots.
- Works with ordinary fuel and Wireless Power Sources.
- Automatically resumes when missing supplies are restored.
- Displays a miniature tree above the machine during cultivation.
- Applies controlled durability damage to the Hatchet.
- Produces no bonus charcoal.
The miniature tree is decorative. Attempts to climb it are considered misuse of company equipment.
Use is approved.
Supported Trees
The Tree Cultivator supports:
- Oak
- Birch
- Spruce
- Maple
- Redwood
- Ash
- Fire
- Jungle
- Azure
- Aspen
- Bamboo
Spruce saplings produce Fir logs. This discrepancy was referred to the Botanical Naming Committee. The committee has stopped responding.
Further questions are discouraged.
Forestry Automation
Compatible Hatchets and saplings are identified during server startup.
- Vanilla and compatible modded Hatchets are supported.
- Bark Scrapers are rejected.
- Inputs and returned materials can be routed through storage automation.
- Offline processing is restricted while a reusable Hatchet is installed.
- Normal processing resumes during the next live server tick.
One Hatchet was recovered from a containment wall. Its waiver remains unsigned.
The incident has been classified as operationally acceptable.
Carbonization Furnace
The Carbonization Furnace charcoal cycle has been accelerated:
- Previous cycle: 90 seconds
- New cycle: 45 seconds
The increased production rate remains within thermal limits established immediately after the previous limits failed.
Results remain within acceptable limits.
Wireless Power Source
The Wireless Power Source received an updated inventory icon and corrected display properties.
The device remains compact, permanent, and slightly unsettling. Engineers are reminded that staring into an inactive power source does not make it inactive.
G.N.O.M.E. accepts limited responsibility.
Documentation
Voile documentation now includes a dedicated Forestry section covering:
- Tree Cultivator setup
- Supported saplings
- Hatchet compatibility
- Automation behavior
- Output requirements
- Miniature growth display
- Wireless power operation
The documentation has been revised again.
