Ore Processing Update

MachineBlocks now has an expanded ore processing chain built around ore cleaning, pure ores, and improved crusher output.

New Machine: Ore Cleaning Unit

The Ore Cleaning Unit is a dedicated processing machine for preparing raw ore before crushing.

  • Accepts raw ore in the ore input slot
  • Uses Carbonic Acid as the cleaning reagent
  • Uses HSSE Fuel Cells only as fuel
  • Has fixed slot rules so only valid items can go into their proper slots
  • Does not use tier upgrades
  • Outputs Pure Ore

New Item: Carbonic Acid

Carbonic Acid is created in the Hydrodynamic Blending Unit.

Recipe:

  • 1 Charcoal
  • 1 Deco Water Tankard
  • 1 Iron Barrel
  • Processing time: 10 seconds

Carbonic Acid is now the required reagent for the Ore Cleaning Unit.

New Pure Ore Stage

Each supported ore now has a matching Pure Ore item with updated visuals.

Pure Ore is created by cleaning raw ore in the Ore Cleaning Unit.

Crusher Output Update

Pure Ore now gives improved crusher yield.

Recipe:

  • 1 Pure Ore
  • Crusher output: 3 Powder of the same ore type

This creates a higher-yield ore chain:

Raw Ore -> Pure Ore -> 3x Ore Powder

Processing Summary

The new intended ore workflow is:

  1. Produce Carbonic Acid in the Hydrodynamic Blending Unit
  2. Clean raw ore in the Ore Cleaning Unit
  3. Crush Pure Ore into 3x ore powder
  4. Continue normal smelting/alloying from powder as needed

This gives MachineBlocks a more advanced ore refining path while keeping the crusher as the final powder-production step.

Machines may require a G.N.O.M.E. certified technician to optimize machine productivity later on. These are new and NOT tested very long.
