What's new

[1.0.3] - 10/30/2026

Changed

  • Heartwinder Gear Toss: It now locks its aim almost as soon as the wind-up starts, and the gears always roll exactly down the lanes you see. Before, the lanes could lag behind its aim and a gear could hit you outside them. The gears and their lanes are narrower.
  • Heartwinder Oilers (hard mode): No more than three Oilers are out at once.
  • Mainspring Lash: The warning lines are amber so they stand out on the arena floor, and they stay under each band through the whole sweep.
  • Brake order (hard mode): Each brake now shows its place in the order on a large plate round its column, as one to four red dots set out like dice, in place of the thin red rings that were hard to count.
  • Heartwinder's cradle: Its low rim no longer stops you a step short of the boss, so you can dash or charge right up to it.
  • Gear Rain: The Heartwinder now calls it in the final phase even when you fight up close, where it almost never came before. A pale ring warns you first, then a ring of steam pushes you back without hurting you, and then the gears fall. It comes a little less often: every 30 seconds, or 24 in hard mode.

Fixed

  • Gear Rain: The warning circle under each falling gear now shows.
  • Heartwinder pendulums: They no longer hit you when the blade passes beside you or over your head.
  • Mainspring Lash (hard mode): The third band behind the boss now shows during the sweep. Before, it hit you with nothing there.
  • Grit in the gears: The Heartwinder now finishes the move it is making before it jams. Before, a move cut off by the jam could still hit you while the boss looked stunned.
