JurassicTale V1.4.0 by AirBreaker Pictures

JurassicTale is a Hytale mod that plunges players into the prehistoric era. Inspired by the Jurassic Park universe and built in Hytale's BlockyModel visual style, it adds living dinosaurs, a full DNA-based cloning chain, a breeding system with growth cycles, and a fences system for enclosures.

What's new with JurassicTale 1.4 ?

The JurassicTale update is featuring 3 new dinosaurs to bring even more variety to your parks!

This update will introduce the new dinosaurs along with their associated items, such as fossils and DNA. Their unique behaviors, however, will be added in future minor updates (1.4.X). More information will be shared when the time comes.

JurassicTale 1.4 Mob Update n°1 

The JurassicTale update is featuring 3 new dinosaurs to bring even more variety to your parks!

This update will introduce the new dinosaurs along with their associated items, such as fossils and DNA. Their unique behaviors, however, will be added in future minor updates (1.4.X). More information will be shared when the time comes.

The Baryonyx

The Diabloceratops figurine is also available with this update! 

The growth and fences systems have been updated to fix issues caused by Hytale Update 5.

I also made multiple fixes to the mods and their models.

 

About JurassicTale in general :

Players can approach baby dinosaurs and herbivores by crouching.

 A word of warning: watch out for the Spinosaurus it has a bad habit of eating your phone.

All dinosaurs evolve through three growth stages -> Baby, Adolescent, Adult -> with approximately 5 hours and 12 hours of maturation between each stage. (You need to be near them, 32 chunk + - due of an hytale limitation)

 

The Cloning Chain

Fossils

The heart of the mod is a multi-step genetic pipeline. Find raw fossils by breaking Cracked Iron Basalt in the ground or in caves, but you can also break bone blocks with a reduced drop rate.

Fossils now come in three preservation qualities:

• Poor
• Standard
• Perfectly Preserved

These fossils (Skull, Leg, Ribs, Tail, Spine, Wing for the Pteranodon) are first cleaned in a Fossil Cleaner using specialized soap.

The cleaned fossils are then processed in the Fossil Flesh Extractor, which allows you to extract dinosaur flesh from the fossil. The quality of the fossil will determine the quantity obtained.

 

DNA Processing

After extracting flesh from fossils, you can craft Petri Dishes which are used in the Blood Collector machine.

The Blood Collector processes 15 pieces of dinosaur flesh to create a Petri dish filled with dinosaur blood.

This blood can then be analyzed in the Jurassic DNA Extractor to produce DNA fragments.
Three DNA fragments are required to create a complete sample but you also need to fill the hole in the dna.

So, the missing genetic sequence must be completed with Frog DNA, obtained by processing frog flesh wish petri dish in the Blood Collector.  You can obtain this frog flesh by killing frogs.

How to use the complete DNA

The Embryonic Machine need a complete DNA and a chicken egg to create a fertile egg, which the Jurassic Incubator finally hatches.

Simply hold the egg in your hand to bring your baby dinosaur into the world.

 

Amber system

By breaking Cracked Iron Basalt, you have a small chance to obtain Jurassic Amber Ore. Breaking Amber Ore gives you the amber item containing preserved prehistoric material.

Amber must be processed together with a Petri dish in the Amber Blood Extractor, which produces mosquito blood containing dinosaur DNA.

This mosquito blood can then be analyzed in the Jurassic DNA Extractor to directly obtain a complete dinosaur DNA sample.

Enclosure System

Create your enclosures with different fences of varying levels. These barriers range from level 0 to 4.

Note: Visibility when placing barriers can be difficult. I recommend changing your view and activating the construction preview.

• New enclosure mechanism:
  • Dinosaurs can now break certain barriers if they do not match their level of danger. 
  • For example, a spinosaurus can break barriers that a triceratops cannot, and a teenage Trex will not have the same level of danger as an adult Trex. 
  • A velociraptor is intelligent; if the level is not adequate, it will break all barriers if it wishes, whereas a Trex/spinosaurus will break a barrier of the level just below its own level only in the event of a chase, but will break lower levels for no specific reason.
  • New building elements are also available for enclosure construction including fence doors, fence sections with door openings, and aviary grid blocks designed for flying dinosaur enclosures. (barriers with doors or doors hole cannot be broken by your dinosaurs)

The Jurassic laboratory now includes multiple specialized machines used for fossil processing, blood extraction and DNA analysis.

Everything is crafted using the Jurassic Bench, which now features three upgrade tiers that unlock additional machines and crafting options.
