Description
Journey is a RPG mod for Hytale that implements Dungeons and Spellcasting (through a looter-shooter perk based staff system)
Staff
To use the staff system, get the legendary wooden staff from the workbench for 6 wood and 2 fiber, then open the User Interface with Ability 2 (normally E).
To equip staves/staff, open the storage tab at the bottom and click on an icon to select that staff, then click a slot to place it in.
You can Right-Click any staff or icon to inspect.
You can use up to 3 staves at one time.
To swap between staves, press Ability 1 (normally Q) and use scrollwheel to switch between staves.
To stop swapping, press Ability 1 again.
Press Ability 3 (normally R) to reload your staff when it has ran out of energy in its magazine.
Each staff has a unique design and behaviour. Currently there is no way to gain new staves as of July 12th, but they will be dropping from the Dungeon with random rolls.
As of July 12th, the Handling stat is non-functional.
Dungeon
There is currently one Dungeon, the Cathedral of Fallen Stars accessible through
/startrad CathedralOfFallenStars <PlayerNames, seperated by spaces>
To leave a dungeon, use
/leaverad
To join another player, use
/joinrad <PlayerName>
Dungeons in Journey are not pure combat oriented. That is, the main focus of each encounter is to execute a puzzle (mechanic), while combat is only forces the player balance both macro and micro while keeping pace.
Bosses are also not immediately damageble unless the player completes the above-mentioned mechanics.
Each Encounter has a hard wipe time, meaning when the hourglass timer reaches 0 the encounter will kill all players and reset.
There is currently no loot dropping from the dungeon, this will be fixed on July 12-14th. If you are doing this with multiple people, the effects present on your UI's will not be the same, this will be fixed on the 13th at the latest.
