HyBlood is a remake of HyBlood (Original) by 21CD, which was created for Hytale Update 1. All core concept, visual design, and intended behaviour are credit to 21CD.

How this version differs from the original: This remake has been rebuilt from the ground up specifically for Update 3+ servers using Hytale's updated particle and damage systems. The original mod was incompatible with modern server builds; this version restores full compatibility while faithfully preserving the original's visual style and intent.

HyBlood 2.2 restores blood particle effects; sprays, splatters, and drips; on every weapon hit against living entities, mobs, or players, exactly as the original intended. Built using Hytale's updated particle and damage systems, this version ensures full compatibility while adding new configurable gore features.

✦ Key Features

🩸 Blood Particle Effects
Sprays, splatters, and drips on every weapon hit; melee or ranged; matching the original mod's visuals exactly.

🩸 Blood Pooling
After a mob or player dies, a blood pool forms beneath them on the ground. Pools fade over time and can be toggled or adjusted in config.json.

🎲 Particle Randomizer
Particle counts are randomized on every hit so effects never look the same twice. Minimum and maximum multipliers are fully configurable in config.json.

🦴 Gore Part Drops
On death, entities have a configurable chance to drop physical gore items (Heart, Eyeball, Guts, Meat). Drop chance and enable/disable are controlled in config.json.

🚫 Entity Blacklist
Exclude specific mobs from all blood and gore effects using their internal entity role ID (e.g. Duck, Bear_Grizzly). Listed in the mobBlacklist array in config.json. Skeletons have a dedicated allow_skeleton_blood toggle that blocks all skeleton variants at once.

⚙️ Configuration Options
Adjust intensity, particle count ranges, gore mode, performance mode, blood pool duration, gore drop chance, the entity blacklist, and more via a simple config.json file.

🖥️ Server Compatible
Java plugin built for dedicated and singleplayer servers. Lightweight with minimal performance overhead.

✦ Installation

Download the .jar from this page.
Place it in your Hytale server's mods/ folder.
Restart the server.
A HyBlood/config.json file will be created next to the JAR on first run. Edit it to adjust settings as needed.
Test by hitting any entity with a weapon; blood effects should appear immediately.
