My submission for the Hytale New Worlds modding contest.
SUBMISSION NOTE (2/28/26): This project is WIP and extremely unfinished. Due to IRL circumstances my time to work on this project was cut roughly in half; as such, I was only able to complete the foundational work in time for the contest, so very little of the project actually functions as intended as of the date of submission. I hope that by viewing the code and this summary, you can see the vision of what will be coming.
About This Mod
Havenmaker is a city-building experience for players looking to create vibrant, living towns, automate resource collection in an immersive way, and enjoy the challenges of civil management. Create a settlement, invite settlers, and meet their needs, and in return your populace will happily perform various tasks for you in return!
Features
NOTE: Havenmaker is currently in its extremely early stages, and as such many features are either missing or have temporary implementations. Expect frequent, rapid changes while the mod continues to develop.
Current features of the mod include:
- Settlement founding
- Zone designations
"Realistic" NPCs (settlers follow a daily schedule, including wander time and sleep)currently broken, coming soon- Basic tasks (woodcutting, farming, mining, guard duty, warehouse work)
- Settlement item management (via warehouses)

Features which will be implemented in the future are:
- realistic settler migration (settlers arrive/leave rather than spawning with a zone)
- settler moods (settlements with more/nicer accomodations will improve morale)
- NPC personalities (names, individual likes/dislikes, etc)
- Dwarf Fortress-style character personalities (names, backgrounds, individual likes/dislikes, skills, etc)
- Inter-settlement trade and warfare

These items should let you create a settlement, designate zones, and potentially test two (semi-functional) NPCs: the Quartermaster and the Lumberjack.
