## Overview

Guild Paths: Broken is a progression-focused anime fantasy RPG mod for Hytale built around guild progression, classes, quests, rank advancement, custom skills, attribute points, and powerful enemy scaling.

The mod begins with the player spawning in a starting cave, where they can meet the Guild Registrar, join the guild, choose one of the available starting classes, and begin their progression journey. From there, players can complete quests, gain XP, unlock skills, improve attributes, and rank up through the guild system.

## Core Features

### Guild Progression
Players can join the guild through the Guild Registrar NPC and begin progressing through a rank-based system. Completing guild quests rewards Guild Points, which are used to rank up and unlock further progression.

### Classes
The mod currently includes four starting classes:
- Warrior
- Mage
- Rogue
- Ranged

Each class grants its own starting bonuses and helps shape the player's progression.

### Quest System
Guild Paths: Broken includes both hunting quests and gathering quests.

- **Hunting quests** require the quest to be active before killing the target mobs.
- **Gathering quests** validate the required items in the player's backpack and inventory, then consume the items on completion.

These quests give the player clear progression goals and reward them with resources, Guild Points, and character growth.

### Player Progression
Players gain XP by defeating mobs, completing quests, and gathering resources such as wood, ores, and stone.
Leveling up grants:
- Skill Points
- Attribute Points

These points allow players to unlock and improve skills while also strengthening their character.

### Skills
The mod includes custom progression skills such as:
- **Iron Body** — increases health, regeneration, and defense
- **Battle Instinct** — detects hostile mobs nearby with a bell alert
- **Fast Learn** — increases XP gain
- **Runner** — increases movement speed
- **Appraisal** — displays useful mob information such as health and rank

The skill system adds a strong RPG layer to the gameplay experience and gives players more control over how they grow stronger.

## Player HUD and Controls

The main Player HUD can be opened in two ways:
- By pressing **R** while unarmed
- By using the **/gphud** command

Through this HUD, players can:
- view stats
- track quest progress
- unlock and upgrade skills
- spend Attribute Points
- spend Skill Points

## Useful Commands

To help with testing and recovery, the mod also includes a few useful commands:

- **/gpspawnregistrar** — Spawns the Guild Registrar if the NPC is missing, bugged, or has died
- **/gpaddxp [value]** — Adds a chosen amount of XP to the player, making it easier to test progression, leveling, and skill point gain

### Enemy Scaling
One of the main features that makes Guild Paths: Broken special is its enemy scaling system.

Mobs can gain levels depending on world difficulty and regional progression.
As enemy levels rise, their health and damage also increase significantly.

This changes the experience by making exploration and combat more dangerous and more rewarding. Players are not only becoming stronger themselves, but are also forced to adapt to a world that grows more threatening over time.
