GlymeraOres — Changelog
v3.0.0 (2026-09-02) — Crystal weights work again on Hytale 0.6
- Fixed: crystals could not be enabled. Hytale 0.6 names the solid crystal cubes
Rock_Crystal_<colour>_Block; the config still listed the oldRock_Crystal_<colour>ids, so any crystal weight you set was skipped with an "unknown crystal block" warning. The defaults now use the 0.6 ids, and an existing config is migrated automatically: a weight set under an old key is carried over to the new key. - Ore weights, chance and tier cap are unchanged. Nothing to do after the update unless you want crystals — then set a weight above 0 for
Rock_Crystal_<colour>_Blockand restart.
v2.0.0 (2026-08-28) — Hytale 0.6.0 (Update 6)
- Rebuilt for Hytale 0.6.0 (Update 6). Requires server 0.6.0 or newer; this version does not run on 0.5.x, and older versions of this plugin do not run on 0.6.0.
- Migrated to the 0.6.0 APIs (network protocol hytale/3, new command-permission API, block/chunk/entity API changes). Everything that was open to players before is open to players again.
- Upgrade: delete the old jar from
mods/, drop in the new one and keep the plugin's data folder — configs and saved data carry over unchanged. Restart the server.
v1.0.0 — 2026-07-23
First release.
Features
- When water and lava solidify into stone, cobblestone or cooled magma, the new block has a configurable chance (default 15 %) to come out as a native ore block instead.
- All eight mineable ores, weighted by rarity: Copper, Iron, Silver, Gold, Cobalt, Thorium, Mithril, Adamantite. Every weight is editable; seven crystal colours are available in the config as well (off by default).
- Optional rarity cap (
tierCap) to keep high-tier ores out of early-game servers. - Hooks the game's own solidification step directly — no scanning, no block ticking, no measurable server cost.
- Zero footprint: only native blocks are ever placed. No new items, no commands, no dependencies; uninstalling leaves no trace in your world.
Notes
- Works anywhere water meets lava — hand-built generators, natural springs, or automated contraptions. Pairs with GlymeraBucket, GlymeraFountain and GlymeraBluestone.
- Distribution validated in a long-running live test (3,110 generated blocks: 15.8 % ore rate against the 15 % target, all eight ores within statistical expectation).
