What's new

v7.0.0 (2026-10-16) — cats follow and keep their look again

  • Fix for Hytale 0.7: entity handles go stale within a tick. Since Update 7 the engine replaces the internal handle of an entity (NPC or player) continuously; a handle kept for a moment and used later points at nothing, and the old code then silently skipped its work. All delayed and deferred actions now look the entity up again by its id right before acting.
  • The follow target is set again half a second after the spawn with a fresh handle (the old code silently skipped that step); despawn and preview clear remove the cat reliably.
  • Upgrade: replace the jar in mods/, keep the plugin's data folder and restart the server.
