Forces of Gravium
Forces of Gravium is an early alpha automation mod built around Gravium-powered signal networks, logic, and machine control.
Use Gravity Powder to build networks that transmit three force states:
- Push – powers machines and enables active behavior
- Pull – disables, blocks, or alters the behavior of specific devices
- Off – no active signal
Combine these states with machines and logic blocks to create transport systems, control circuits, sensors, and automated contraptions.
Current Features
Gravity Powder Networks
Gravity Powder is the foundation of Forces of Gravium.
Connect machines and devices through visible signal lines that dynamically change depending on their current force state.
Cased Gravity Powder
Build cleaner and more structured networks using cased Gravity Powder variants for straight connections and corners.
Inverter
Invert incoming signals:
- Push → Pull
- Pull → Push
The Inverter can also be temporarily disabled through its control input, enabling switching systems, conditional logic, and more compact automation designs.
Gravium Siphon
A Gravium-powered item transport machine inspired by hoppers.
The Gravium Siphon can move items between inventories and interact with machines such as chests, furnaces, and salvagers.
Its behavior depends on the current signal:
- Off: Transfers downward at normal speed
- Push: Transfers faster and can operate in other directions
- Pull: Completely disabled
Multiple Siphons can be combined to build larger transport and sorting systems.
Gravium Sensor
The Sensor turns changes in the world into signals.
It can observe blocks, inventories, entities, and other changing conditions and react when the observed state changes.
Combined with Siphons and logic blocks, Sensors can be used to build responsive automation such as item sorting and detection systems.
Wind Generator
The Wind Generator currently serves as a simple high-output power source while the generation system is still being developed.
It can be switched on and off to power connected Gravium networks.
Wooden Button
A simple manual input for sending a temporary signal into a network.
Useful for controlling machines, testing contraptions, and building manual triggers.
Crafting & Resources
- Blue Crystals can be processed in the Salvager
- Salvaging Blue Crystals creates Gravium / Gravity Powder
- Mod recipes are available in the vanilla Workbench
Current State
Forces of Gravium is currently in Early Alpha.
The focus is on building a reliable foundation for signal networks, automation, item transport, sensing, and machine control.
Systems, balancing, recipes, visuals, and world compatibility may change between early versions.
More machines, generators, logic blocks, transport options, and automation mechanics are planned for future updates.
Vision
Forces of Gravium aims to become a unique automation experience built around directional force, readable machine logic, and creative engineering.
The goal is for automation to be understandable directly from the world: signals should move visibly, machines should communicate what they are doing, and complex systems should emerge from simple building blocks.
Not gears. Not wires. Gravity.
