Update From The Team
Hey everyone, first of all I want to thank everyone for trying out the mod and sharing their feedback. While this is our first update on CurseForge in a bit, we have been listening to all of your feedback and have been working very hard on the next big update for EyeSpy. This update is taking a bit longer than expected, but we want to make sure everything has been tested properly to avoid major issues and disruptions down the line. You can follow along with our progress on GitHub and even beta test new features if you can build the project. All of the features in this release of EyeSpy were originally part of the upcomming update, but we backported them to the older version of EyeSpy in order to share them early.
The upcomming update focuses on configurability and plugins. We have already implemented a way to hide the hud, move the hud around, and toggle/modify the information displayed. We also have a way for plugins to add new information to the HUD, including entirely custom UI elements. Our goal is to provide a framework that all kinds of mods can use, similar to our Minecraft counterparts. The plugin system will enable things like machines displaying their current power usage, processing time, and other properties of their blocks.
The last feature we need to finish before the upcomming update can be shared is integrating custom plugins with our config UI and giving server owners the option to force enable/disable certain config properties. This creates a lot of design challenges other Hytale mods never have to worry about, but we are actively working on this. Below is a sneak peak of the config UI. It will probably look different in the final release.
