You can make apple trees, but once you have apples you can't do anything with them, unlike the rest of the farmable foods. This mod changes that, allowing apples - and every other fruit in the game with them! - to be crafted back into Essence of Life with the Farmer's Workbench.
Each fruit requires an appropriate tier of the Farmer's Workbench based on its location. The higher difficulty fruits provide more Essence per fruit, with the simplest to find requiring four fruit per Essence (wild berries), and the most difficult giving 4 Essence per fruit (Mangoes, Pinkberries, and Poison Tree Fruits).
