Epic Chests

BetterChestLoot is a server-side asset mod that dramatically enhances the loot found in chests, barrels, and treasure containers across all four zones of Hytale. Every loot table in the game has been rebalanced to make exploration more rewarding and exciting. Features 🎁 Tripled Item Quantities All item drops have their stack sizes multiplied by 3x. Find 6 arrows instead of 2, 9 wood instead of 3, and 15 cobblestone instead of 5. Gathering resources through exploration becomes a viable strategy alongside crafting. 🎲 Doubled Loot Rolls Every container rolls for loot twice as many times as vanilla. This means more item slots in each chest are filled, so you'll rarely open a chest and find just one or two items. Exploration feels consistently rewarding. ⚔️ 2.5x Rare Item Boost Weapons, armor, tools, potions, and gems all have their drop weights increased by 2.5x. Finding that iron sword or set of armor in a dungeon chest is no longer a once-in-a-lifetime event — rare gear appears meaningfully more often while still feeling special. 🚫 Near-Zero Empty Slots The weight of empty loot rolls has been reduced by 10x. In vanilla, many chest slots roll "empty" and give you nothing. With BetterChestLoot, nearly every roll produces an actual item, making every chest worth opening. Faster early-game progression — Better drops from your first few chests help you gear up and take on tougher content sooner. Rare finds feel achievable — With boosted rare item weights, you'll actually find weapons and armor in the wild without grinding hundreds of chests. No more empty chests — The frustration of opening a chest to find almost nothing is gone. Every container has meaningful loot.
