New Features

  • Shared Loot — per-player drops in dungeons — When two or more players kill a mob together in an Endgame instance (Frozen, Swamp, Void Realm, Eldergrove, Oakwood, Canopy), each participating player now gets their own independent roll of the drop table. Player A sees their loot, Player B sees theirs, no fighting over who picks up what. Loot is visible and pickable only by its owner for 60 seconds, then becomes public. Anyone who damaged the mob in the 30 seconds before death counts as a participant (pets count for their owner). Toggle in /eg config → Misc → "Shared Loot" — disable for the legacy free-for-all loot system.
  • Shared Loot is extendable to other mods' instances — drops a generated Shared_Loot.json next to EndgameConfig.json. Server owners and third-party plugin devs add entries "world-name-prefix": "mob1,mob2,..." to opt their own dungeons in; empty CSV covers every mob in the instance. The 6 built-in Endgame instances are always covered.
  • Boss overworld spawn protection — Dragon Frost, Hedera and Golem Void can no longer spawn outside Endgame instance worlds. Catches every spawn path: misplaced spawn markers, third-party mods spawning the IDs, /spawnnpc, admin debug — the entity is removed silently and the event is logged. Wild bosses (Dragon Fire) and elites (Alpha Rex, Bramble, Eldergrove Despot, Oakwood Warlord, etc.) are unaffected since they're designed to roam. Server owners with the tier A (patreon) can disable the protection — see below.
  • Premium licensing system — Ed25519-signed license tokens unlock optional premium features (overworld boss spawning, ad-free Journal, white-label rebranding). Customers apply their key via the License tab of /eg config (paste → Apply); status, tier, expiry and active features visible in the same tab. When a token nears expiry the plugin logs a warning at boot so admins know to re-apply a renewed token. A revocation list is checked once per day against the official endpoint for mid-cycle kill-switches — apart from that, no call-home, no telemetry. See the Patreon tiers section at the bottom of this release block for the per-tier perk breakdown.
  • Boss bar themes + full auto-tracking via JSON — drops Bossbar_Themes.json. Each entry is npcTypeId → { DisplayName, NameColor, BarColor, Phases, optional Encounter }. Add the optional Encounter block with AutoTrack: true and the boss is fully wired into the EndgameQoL pipeline — bar appears on spawn, phase transitions fire on HP thresholds, knockback is suppressed during the fight, target switching activates, friendly-fire blocked between bosses, enrage fires when sustained damage exceeds EnrageDamageThreshold within EnrageWindowMs. No Java code required for the third-party mod. The 11 built-in Endgame themes register first; same-id JSON entries override them.
  • Custom achievements via JSON — drops CustomAchievements/ folder with a README + example file. Server owners and third-party plugin devs can define their own achievements without writing Java: one or more .json files in that folder, each entry with Id, Name, Description, Category, Target, optional XpReward / RewardDropTable, and a Trigger block. 11 trigger types cover the common cases: KillNpc, KillBoss, SpeedKillBoss, CompleteBounty, CompleteBountyOfDifficulty, ReachComboTier, EnterDungeon, MineOre, CraftItem, DamageDealt, CompleteTrial. Custom achievements appear in the in-game Journal alongside the 42 built-ins, share the same XP / drop-table reward pipeline, and unlock automatically when their trigger fires. Per-entry validation skips invalid achievements with a WARNING log line. Hot-reload via /eg admin reload — no restart needed. Full guide in CUSTOM_ACHIEVEMENTS_GUIDE.md.
  • Prisma Mace is now a real weapon — vanilla Hytale shipped the model + texture but the in-game item was a stat-less placeholder (Common quality, no damage, no recipe). Now properly tuned for the endgame tier: 80 basic per swing / 120 charged / Groundslam signature ~260–320 (AOE with damage variance), Legendary quality at Item Level 65, +200 Mana / +25 Stamina / +30 Signature Energy. Recipe: 14 Prisma Bars + 4 Prismic Leather + 2 Emeralds at the Endgame Bench (tier 5).
  • Shears now silk-touch every plant block — Hytale already let shears pick up some plants, but a long tail of decorative blocks (Bramble Moss, bushes, leaves, grass variants, moss blocks, cobwebs, etc.) silently fell back to fibres/sticks. This fills in the gap: shears of any tier now silk-touch any vanilla or modded plant block, so the full set is finally obtainable for builders. Hand-breaking still drops the vanilla materials. Applies automatically to every plant family without per-block config — works with future Hytale plant additions too.
  • Dragon Frost — new Freezing Breath attack — cone-shaped breath weapon that sweeps in front of the dragon, dealing sustained ice damage to everything caught in the path. New animation, particle stream, and dedicated breath SFX. Existing Erupt and Tail Whip attacks also got their own polished sound effects, so each ability is now audibly distinct.

Balance

  • Full weapon tier rebalance — every tier (Adamantite → Mithril → Onyxium → Prisma) now has a clean ~+30% damage step on both basic combos and signatures, with no regressions where a higher tier hit softer than the one below it. The full progression curve was previously full of inversions and flat spots.
    • Mithril Sword basic combo and Vortexstrike signature scaled up so it no longer hits less hard than Adamantite.
    • Mithril Daggers front-hit Swing_Left minimum raised (was below Adamantite's minimum).
    • Mithril & Onyxium Longswords — every light hit was dealing the same number. Each swing now has its own value across both tiers.
    • Mithril Spear stab tuned to the proper tier step over Adamantite.
    • Onyxium Sword swings and Vortexstrike signature raised to keep a clear step over Mithril and close the Prisma gap.
    • Onyxium Battleaxe pulled back (was +45% over Mithril vs the +30% target); Item Level corrected from 60 → 55 to stop it sitting in the boss-tier slot.
  • Prisma weapons polished
    • Prisma Sword Judgment signature was a fixed 250 (always the same number). Now rolls ~220–280 for roll-to-roll variety like every other endgame attack.
    • Prisma Daggers signature per-pulse damage raised so the in-game Damage Data tooltip clearly outranks Hedera Daggers (Storm's 3-pulse total now lands above 400).
  • Frozen Sword (Dragon Frost drop) damage scaled — was outputting less than a Mithril Sword despite being an Item Level 52 boss reward. Physical + Ice damage on every hit raised so it properly sits between Mithril and Onyxium.
  • Prisma armor physical resistance pulled back — full-set was reducing 78% of physical damage (near-immune). Chest piece resistance dropped slightly; full set now ~74% reduction. Still excellent, no longer trivializes melee bosses.
  • Alpha Rex HP raised to 1000 (was 700) — became trivial once the Mithril sword regression was fixed.
  • EndlessLeveling double-scaling fix — when EndlessLeveling is detected, EndgameQoL stops applying its own party-size HP, party-size damage and level-based HP scaling. EL becomes the sole authority on dynamic scaling so bosses are not stacked twice; per-boss baseline + difficulty multiplier still apply.
  • Frost Dragon damage nerf (-20% across the board) — every Frost Dragon attack reduced by ~20%: Erupt 125→100, Boss Breath 50→40, Ground Slam 42→34, Tail Whip 28→22, Melee bite 25→20, Icy Wind 25→20. Erupt was effectively a one-shot for under-tier players; the whole attack chain now sits in a survivable range while still demanding endgame gear and dodging.
  • Dungeon key recipes now match their theme — Frozen Dungeon Key now consumes 30 Ice Essence (was Fire Essence — thematic mismatch); Swamp Dungeon Key now consumes 30 Life Essence (was Fire Essence). The metal inputs and bench tier are unchanged.

Bug Fixes

  • Trial countdown HUD now ticks down — the "Starting in Xs" countdown on Void / Warden trials was frozen on its first value; it now refreshes every second.
  • Dragon Frost loot fixed — the Frozen Sword was dropping on every Dragon Frost kill due to a loot-table schema bug. Now a ~3% rare drop as intended; consolation drop adds Ice Essence.
  • Hedera loot fixed — Hedera Seed accessory was dropping on every Hedera kill. Now a 15% drop with Forest Essence as the consolation roll.
  • Dragon Fire loot fixed — Blazefist accessory was dropping on every Dragon Fire kill. Now a 15% drop with Storm Hide as consolation.
  • Golem Void loot fixed — Onyxium and Prisma Bars were both dropping on every Void Realm completion. Now drops one or the other (weighted: 60% Onyxium, 40% Prisma) for proper rarity. Emerald rare drop also reworked to actually be 50% instead of guaranteed.
  • Pet melee attacks no longer knock the owner around — Dragon Fire / Dragon Frost / Hedera / Golem Void pets all carried a Knockback effect on their bite/swing. When the pet attacked an enemy adjacent to the owner, the owner caught the knockback (sideways depending on the pet's facing) before the friendly-fire damage filter could intervene. Knockback removed from every pet melee — damage is still filtered, and pets now feel safe to stand next to.
  • Void Gauntlet no longer soft-locks when a wave mob clips through the floating island and falls into the void — any non-pet NPC below Y=50 is auto-teleported back to the arena center.
  • Frozen & Swamp Dungeon anti-void — players who fall below the dungeon floor are now teleported back to safety, matching the Void Realm fall-catch.

Technical

  • Hytale Update 5 full compatibility — every API call, JSON schema, and asset reference migrated to the Update-5 surface.
  • MultipleHUD mod no longer required as a soft dependency — Hytale Update 5 has multi-HUD support built in. The plugin uses the native API directly; the optional Buuz135:MultipleHUD reference is removed from the manifest.

Journal redesign (/eg journal)

  • Brand-new triple-pane Journal UI — sidebar nav + center content + right-side stats panel. Reputation progress bar under the header, accent indicator on the active tab, game-themed PatchStyle backgrounds. Six tabs: Bounty Board, Bestiary, Achievements, Servers, Wiki, Statistics — every tab fully data-driven (zero placeholder content).
  • Bestiary — paginated creature list (10 per page) filtered by category (All / Boss / Elite / Elemental / Endgame), discovery milestone chips colour-coded by reach state (gold = reachable, green = claimed, muted = unreached) with one-click reward claim, per-mob kill counter with milestone stars (★/☆ for kill-tier rewards).
  • Achievements — paginated list (10 per page) filtered across 8 categories (All / Combat / Boss / Bounty / Discovery / Crafting / Speedrun / Mining), per-achievement category-coloured accent strip, claim button appears the instant an achievement unlocks.
  • Servers — scrollable list of community servers running EndgameQoL. Each card shows server name, description, address, an optional Discord link, an optional "Join" button (one-click server transfer via the engine's referral packet — no command, no permission needed) and "Copy Address" (prints the address in chat for selection). Order rotates every 24 hours (deterministic shuffle keyed on UTC date — every server gets equal exposure over time, no fixed position). Filter chips by tag above the list (single-select, populated dynamically from the union of tags in the published server data). Per-server accent color picked by each partner via hex code (default neutral grey if unspecified). "Become a Partner" Patreon button at the bottom of the panel — sends the application link as a clickable chat message. List fetched lazily on tab open from the official endpoint and cached locally; empty state when offline. Tab is hidden for Tier S / SSS.
  • Wiki — direct shortcut to the official wiki at https://wiki.hytalemodding.dev/mod/endgame-qol. Single "Open Wiki" button surfaces the link as a clickable chat message so the player can open it in their browser. Replaces the earlier kill-gated Lore tab.
  • Right panel — "At a Glance" counters for bounty count / rank / bestiary discoveries / kills / achievements unlocked / points; Recent Activity auto-derived from real timestamps (latest achievement unlocks + latest mob discoveries, sorted newest-first, with "X min ago / X h ago / X days ago" formatting).
  • Statistics — 8 tile dashboard (total kills, bosses slain, mobs discovered, bounty rep, achievements unlocked, points, bounties done, bounty rank) + per-boss kill breakdown (Dragon Frost / Hedera / Golem Void / Dragon Fire / Alpha Rex).

Tokens renew each Patreon cycle (~31 days) and stay valid for the full 31-day window even if you unsubscribe. Revocation list polled every 24h for mid-cycle kill-switches.
