Introduction

Dark times have come… Varyn has stretched his corruption to the element of water. It's immortal guardian has been taken over by him, but we could seal it in the garden. You can try to kill it, but if the garden is left, he reappears again. After defeat only ink remains, but you can trade it with the Klops.

It is best to play this mod in a group as well as have good gear, since the boss is very hard to defeat. Due to this you don't loose items nor do they take damage upon death inside the boss arena.

Content

This mod adds a puddle portal in the Forgotten Temple, leading to a water arena with the boss. You can traverse it by swimming or using the given boats. But be aware of the inklings as they might swarm you. Luckily killing them damages the boss, since they are personifications of it's life energy. The boss is though, but don't worry! You'll keep your items upon your demise. After defeat the boss leaves it's ink behind, a resource highly sought after by klops merchants. They can give you water related blocks, ores, as well as some magic items.

The Boss: An Ancient Kraken

Stage 1: Kill all 4 tentacles to expose the boss for 15 seconds of vulnerability

Stage 2: Kill all 6 to fully remove it's invulnerability - this will Enrage it, leading to Stage 3

Stage 3: The Kraken is enraged, healing to 75% HP and unleashing all of it's attacks relentlessly until it's death!

Tentacles: Deal 5% damage to the boss on death

Inklings: Attack from a range, and heal you 10% HP on death

Chests: A few chests with supplies can be found around the arena

Kraken's Attacks:

Tentacles: Can thrust, slam, and swipe attack, throwing you around and stunning you
Inklings: Shoot ink splats that damage and disrupt your vision
Tsunami (Kraken): sends a wave crashing towards you, throwing you backwards
Geysers (Kraken); Summons geysers that fling you way into the sky. Mind your landing!
Poison Rain (Kraken): Clouds of acid rain drift across the battle
Ice Spear (Kraken): A massive spear of ice that devastates all in it's path

Originally we wanted to make the mod bigger (one boss for each element) , but due to our limited time as well as manpower problems (we both were busy with another project for the most of the time) it turned out smaller. If you have any feedback or bugs you can post them in the comments.

Known bugs:

Boss Bar stays after leaving the instance: there is a command to clear all eoc boss huds named "clear_eoc_hud"
