Description

This mod works on current pre-release (2026.04.30-b4f6a911e). You must switch to pre-release in the launcher to use this mod.

The Distant Oceans mod adds a new Dimension to Hytale, including 11 new biomes to explore and discover. Dive through coral reefs, forests of kelp, towering spires of stone, sunken cities, crevaces, caves, and more! Getting Started To get started with the mod, craft a Distant Oceans portal at the Arcanists Workbench. You can bring your own tools, or even experience the entire thing from scratch! Progression You'll need proper gear to survive the depths of the ocean. You can craft diving gear at the Armorer's Workbench to improve your underwater capabilities. You'll need special materials found only in the Distant Oceans to craft it, so make sure to keep an eye out for them. If you're having trouble, there are some hints below.

Rubber can be found on land among the trees.

Stiff seaweed can be found where civilization met its end.

Green coral tubes can be found among deep shipwrecks and deep sunken ruins.

Ultramarine can be found deep below where land has split.

Kelp bubbles can be found in kelp groves, look for seaweed grown on coral disks. The light the kelp bubbles cast may help your search.

Known Issues

This mod overrides the base game's water, oxygen, diving gear, whales, crabs, and lobsters. It may be incompatible with any mod that also overrides these.
