Do you have such an unquenchable thirst for caffeine that you can no longer enjoy the game without it? That's not quite my story, though I cannot say the same for my wife... but you're in the right place.

Cozy Cafe lets you build the café of your dreams in Hytale, right from the very first coffee bean. Grow your own ingredients, roast and brew on charming, hand-built machines, whisk up warm lattes and frosty iced drinks, bake a little something sweet, and show it all off behind glass. Every cup, every pastry and every piece of furniture is made to feel like a warm corner you'll want to come back to.

A day at the café

Start in the garden 🌱

Plant coffee, tea, cocoa, sugar cane, mint, vanilla and strawberries, and watch each one grow in its own way. The vanilla climbs its little stake and the strawberries ripen red among white blossoms. Seeds are made at the Farming Bench.

Roast, grind and brew ☕

Little machines make the work part of the fun:

• The Coffee Grinder: a cast-iron flywheel mill that turns as it works.
• The Coffee Roaster: an ornate barrel with a glowing firebox that fills the air with smoke.
• The Espresso Machine: a copper beauty with a steam wand, a lever that pulls and a cup that fills.
• The Matcha Station: a low tea table with a bowl, a bamboo whisk and a little kettle, perfect for a calm moment.

Mix something lovely 🍵

At the Barista Counter you choose a mug or a glass and turn your ingredients into something wonderful:

• Lattes, mochas, a pumpkin spice latte, a peppermint mocha, caramel macchiatos, matcha lattes and strawberry matcha lattes, hot and iced, plus sweeter versions of the favourites.
• Syrups to flavour them: pumpkin, mocha, peppermint, caramel and vanilla.
• Each drink has its own pretty mug or cup, latte art and toppings, and it looks just as good in your hand as it does on the counter.
• Drinks give you a cozy lift: hot ones restore your stamina over time, iced ones give you a quick boost, and matcha keeps you going the longest.

Bake a little treat 🥐

Croissants, berry danishes, four kinds of muffin and three kinds of macaron come fresh from the counter. They're small, sweet and good for your health, too.

Show it off 🍰

Fill a Display Case with your pastries and watch each one appear on its own little spot on the shelves. Your bakes get to sit in the window, looking as tempting as they taste.

Build the café you imagined 🪑

The Cafe Workbench is where it all comes together. It's a roomy bench with a marble slab, a cake dome and a rack of pans, and from it you can craft:

• the grinder, roaster, espresso machine and matcha station
• the barista counter, plus plain and corner counters topped with soft marble
• drawer counters and cupboards in several styles, which really open and close when you use them
• the display case

From garden to cup: the full journey

Espresso ☕

1. Plant coffee seeds and wait for the bushes to fill with red cherries, then harvest them.
2. Hull the cherries in the Coffee Grinder to get green coffee beans.
3. Roast the green beans in the Coffee Roaster. Feed its firebox some fuel and let the drum turn until the beans are dark and fragrant.
4. Grind the roasted beans in the Coffee Grinder to make coffee grounds.
5. Brew the grounds in the Espresso Machine with a bucket of water, and out comes a shot of espresso. (Your bucket comes back empty, ready to refill.)
6. Make it a drink at the Barista Counter. Steam a bucket of milk in the Espresso Machine, then add the espresso and steamed milk to a mug for a latte, plus any syrup you like.
   
   

Matcha 🍵

1. Plant tea seeds, let the bushes grow leafy, and harvest the tea leaves.
2. Mill the leaves in the Coffee Grinder into fine matcha powder.
3. Whisk the powder with a bucket of water in the Matcha Station, and watch the little bamboo whisk go round, to make whisked matcha.
4. Make it a drink at the Barista Counter. Pour the whisked matcha over steamed milk in a mug for a matcha latte, or over cold milk and ice in a glass. Add strawberries for a strawberry matcha.

Getting started

1. Craft a Cafe Workbench at your regular Workbench.
2. Use it to make a grinder, roaster, espresso machine and barista counter.
3. Plant some seeds and give them time.
4. Roast, grind and brew, then head to the counter, grab a mug and make your first drink.
