Chinese Festivals v1.0.0 — The Mid-Autumn & Spring Festival Update
中秋快乐, 新年快乐! Two whole festival sets: 18 Mid-Autumn Festival (中秋节) decorations for moon-viewing night and 22 Spring Festival (春节) decorations for Chinese New Year — 40 brand-new decorations in all, from paper rabbit lanterns and a moon-worship altar to a lion dance head, door gods and spring couplets. Chinese Festivals also moves to Hytale's Update 7.
Everything new is crafted at the Furniture Bench, under the Seasonal tab. Every lantern, lamp and candle in both sets turns on and off with the Use key.

🌕 The Mid-Autumn Festival set
Lanterns and lights
- Rabbit Lantern — a white paper rabbit on a little wheeled cart, lit from inside.
- Palace Lantern — a hexagonal rosewood lantern with painted red silk panels and gold tassels.
- Starfruit Lantern — the golden five-finned carambola lantern, hung from a bamboo crook.
- Carp Lantern — a red-and-gold koi leaping over carved waves.
- Sky Lantern — a tall paper lantern with a red 福, waiting for launch.
- Lotus Lantern — a pink paper lotus with a candle at its heart.
- Moon Lamp — a glowing full moon in a rosewood cloud stand, the Jade Rabbit hidden in its shadows.
- Moon Offering Table — a red lacquer altar laid for the moon, with incense, candles, mooncakes and a pomelo.
Place the Palace, Starfruit, Carp or Sky Lantern against a ceiling and it hangs instead — the hanging ones sway gently, the carp flicks its tail and the sky lantern bobs. The candles on the altar and the lotus flicker with real flames.
Figures
- Tu'er Ye, Lord Rabbit — Beijing's Lord Rabbit, armored and flag-backed, riding his tiger.
- Jade Rabbit — the moon rabbit, pounding the elixir of immortality in its mortar (it really pounds).
- Chang'e Rising to the Moon — a porcelain figurine of the moon goddess rising on a cloud, cradling her rabbit.
Feast and table
- Mooncake Platter — stacked mooncakes, one cut open to show lotus paste and a salted egg yolk.
- Mooncake Gift Box — four mooncakes in a red-and-gold box.
- Fruit Offering — pomelos, persimmons, a split pomegranate and grapes on a porcelain dish.
- Osmanthus Tea Set — a clay teapot and cups on a lacquer tray.
- Osmanthus Wine Jar — a cloth-sealed jar of osmanthus wine with a dipper and cup.
Garden and walls
- Osmanthus Bonsai — a little osmanthus tree in golden bloom.
- Moon-Viewing Scroll — a two-block hanging scroll of the full moon, osmanthus and a white rabbit.

Fixes
- The update check can no longer hold up or break server startup when the version site is slow, unreachable or sends something unexpected — it runs in the background with a short timeout.
- A server running a newer build than the newest listed release is no longer told to "update" to the older one.
- The update notice is logged once per player instead of every time they change worlds.
Compatibility
- Built for Hytale Server 0.7.0-pre.5.1 (the Update 7 pre-release). This version no longer runs on Update 6 servers — stay on v0.1.4 until yours updates.
- Back up your worlds before moving a server to Update 7: a world saved on the pre-release isn't guaranteed to open on Update 6 again.
- Upgrading from 0.1.4 is a straight drop-in. The original Spring Lantern is still here, unchanged.
