This mod introduces new equipment, chef armor, useful new food effects, and a complete rebalance of the food system. You will discover new crops, trees, and bushes while meeting new characters to trade with and learn from.

All of these systems are woven together into a cohesive progression that offers a completely new way to experience Hytale's cooking and exploration.

Key Features

Kweebec Chef

Full quest progression. Start simple and work your way up to amazing new dishes.
New food effects. Food effects are milder than potions but last much longer and offer a wider variety of benefits.
New crops. Several dozen new crops have been integrated into the world. Grow them yourself, buy them from Kweebec Rangers, or discover them in gardens across the world.
New bushes. Much more than the familiar red berries. Get a jolt of energy from coffee by farming a new crop, for example.
New trees. A variety of trees produce ingredients that become part of your culinary progression.
New recipes. More than 170 new food recipes covering a wide array of foods and culinary styles.
No violence required. If you prefer a peaceful playthrough you can progress entirely through farming and trading. If you prefer to source beef, pork, and other meats more directly, that works too.
20+ hours of gameplay. The quest will stay mostly focused on your farm but will also require exploration and gathering of far flung natural materials.

Earn Your Chef Hats

Your progress in Chef Quest is marked by the hats you earn. You begin as an Apprentice Chef and work your way up to Grand Master Chef by presenting signature dishes to your Kweebec Chef instructor.

New Work Stations

You will unlock and use several new work stations throughout your journey. Shown here are the Buccan Smoker, Fermentor, Gourmet Oven, and Prep Table. Each one adds new recipes and works together with the others to open up a wide range of cooking possibilities.

*NEW* Cabinets! They function like chests, but match the style of the Gormet bench. I also figured out how to make wall mounted cabinents (chests) that allow a lot more options for storage.

The Food

That's what we are here for, right? Chef Quest introduces a large number of new recipes covering a wide variety of culinary styles, techniques, and cultural influences. Below are just a few examples of the dishes you will discover on your journey.

Keep and eye out for these Kweebec Rangers! They live out in the wild, foraging for resources and scaring off the undead. They are happy to trade the items they find for some yummy food you have made.

How to Get Started

Download the mod and place it in your mods folder as you would with any other mod. Then start a new world. Your Kweebec Chef instructor will be waiting for you in the starting house.

Finally, this mod has been a real labor of love. It is being submitted for the current Modding Contest, but I spent many late nights working on it to share with everyone.
