Description

Cerb's Tiny Tweaks

Crafting recipes for decorations that can only be found throughout your world in prefabs, tweaks to the behavior of certain blocks to make building easier and more forgiving recipes for some decoration blocks!

Do you find it odd that certain blocks just don't behave the way you expect them to when building, or that you can't craft certain decoration blocks? Well, me too! Which is why I made this mod.

New in 1.3.0:

  • Added inner corner and topper variants for all cloth roof blocks!
  • Changed hitbox and scaling of the old potion decoration for pixel consistency with other blocks;
  • Wall rings now work correctly and have a better hitbox;
  • Inkwells also got a better hitbox size and now rotates properly on all four cardinal directions;
  • Ropes can now be stacked horizontally;
  • Dark Temple, Wind Temple, Overgrown Temple and Crude signs can now be placed flush against walls in addition to hanging sideways;
  • Lost Civilization and Outlander Banners can now be hung on a variety of non full blocks, such as ropes, beams, branches and chains.

New in 1.2.0:

  • All Tree Branches are now craftable on the Builder's Workbench using their respective logs!
  • Implemented Chalk Bricks and all variants to exploration mode;
  • All pillar blocks can now be placed horizontally;
  • Chandeliers can be hung from ropes, chains, beams, etc, as long as they visually connect;
  • Added crafting recipes for (most) missing braziers, torches, candles and the campfire block (the decorative one, not the one used for cooking), all found in the lighting tab of the Furniture Workbench.

New in 1.1.0:

  • All pots and crates now have an exploration-friendly variety!
  • Decorative Pots can be crafted in the pottery tab of the Furniture Workbench;
  • Decorative Crates can be crafted in the misc tab of the Furniture Workbench;
  • Decorative pots and crates drop themselves instead of loot and will not break when swinging weapons.

Full (ish) List of Features

Cloth roof crafting tweaks:

  • Now you get 10 roof blocks per cloth block on the Builder's Workbench instead of one, mainly because it's annoying to grind for wool while animal husbandry is not a thing;
  • Hide and leather tent roofs are now craftable using light, medium or heavy hide/leather (1 roof per light hide/leather, 5 per medium hide/leather, 10 per heavy hide/leather).

Previously uncraftable furniture and blocks:

  • Simple wooden counters and benches are craftable at the Builder's Workbench like any other hardwood furniture piece;
  • Marble platforms and benches are now craftable at the Builder's Workbench like other marble (light temple) furniture;
  • Chalk bricks and variants are craftable like other stone blocks;
  • Clay pots and crates are craftable on the Furniture Workbench;
  • Most missing braziers, torches, lamps and lanterns can be crafted on the Furniture Workbench;
  • Tree Branches are craftable on the Builder's Workbench, using their respective log.

Block behavior tweaks:

  • Cloth roof flaps are now considered transparent blocks and are no longer affected by gravity, making them more versatile when building;
  • Lumberjack lamps can now be rotated on all 4 cardinal directions;
  • Pillar blocks can now be placed horizontally;
  • Chandeliers can be hung from ropes, chains, beams, etc, as long as they visually connect;
  • Banners can be placed on ropes, chains, beams, etc, as long as they visually connect;
  • Crude, Dark Temple, Wind Temple and Overgrown Temple Signs can now be placed flush against walls, as would be expected;
  • All cloth roofs now have inner corner and topper variants (see gallery for reference);
  • Ropes can be placed horizontally;
  • Improved hitbox and fixed placement logic of the wall ring, inkwell and old potion decoration blocks.

Future plans:

  • Allow a greater variety of plants to be placed inside of planters;
  • More missing furniture and block recipes.
