Description
Celly's Wildlife Skins has been split into smaller, more modular mods that are toggled independently to alleviate Atlas usage so you can prioritize which creatures get Atlas space. CLS has medium Atlas usage.
This mod contains animals tameable in base Hytale, and is intended to be used with Alec's Animal Husbandry! so you can tame and breed livestock for stats and appearance.
It is recommended (but not required) to run Alec's Tamework! the first time you install any animal reskin mods (can be removed after), to assign RandomAttachmentSets to existing entities. Otherwise, existing creatures remain default, and you will only see the reskins from Aures or Celly's stuff on newly spawned creatures.
Adds reskins to the following Livestock creatures:
-
- Bison (45 possible variant combinations)
- Bison Calf (15 possible variant combinations)
- Turkey (81 possible variant combinations)
- Turkey Chick (27 possible variant combinations)
- Boar (250 possible variant combinations)
- Boar Piglet (250 possible variant combinations)
- Mosshorn
- Mosshorn_Plain
Fully compatible with Aures Livestock Skins and Aures Horse Skins, since we do not modify the same animals. However, Atlas limitations may mean you must pick and choose which animal reskin mods to use.
All mods in Celly's Reskin Collection can be enabled/disabled independently, and have their relative Atlas usage at the top of its description, but here is a summary as of 10/28/2026:
- Celly's Avian Skins (low)
- Celly's Baby Animals (very low)
- Celly's Beast Skins (very high)
- Celly's Critter Skins (low)
- Celly's Elemental Skins (v1.0.2 very high, after v1.0.3's optimizations medium)
- Celly's Livestock Skins (medium)
- Celly's Wildlife Skins (high)
By my scale, ALS has extremely high Atlas usage. AHS has medium Atlas usage.
If you get blacked-out textures, it means your texture Atlas has overflowed. This is a Hytale issue and you will need to disable one or more mods that are heavy on entity textures. For more information about texture Atlas issues please see my pinned comment under Celly's Wildlife Skins.
